Ok, FINALLY, my post about my search for the best work gloves for small hands is LIVE on the blog. I tried on so. many. bad. pairs. A few good ones, too. It probably would have happened sooner if I didn’t take a last-minute run to @homedepot and @loweshomeimprovement to see what options they actually had locally (I did find a couple contenders). In full disclosure, this is NOT sponsored and I spent a good chunk o’ change in this search, but my friend @_kitliz sent me two pairs from @carhartt herself. I’ll keep adding more pairs as the try-ons continue with more brands. But right now, I have a date with Great British Baking Show, editing new recipe photos, and a glass of wine. Cheers to your Tuesday, friends.
180kg/395lbs x 3. BW is up to 94.5kg/208lbs (from ~91.8kg/202lbs in August) using the @rpstrength muscle gain template. Macronutrient amounts are laid out for each meal based on timing of the training session for the day, making it a great tool to ensure proper preparation for each session. Looking to gain up to 95.5kg/210lbs leading into the Arnold. 11 weeks out. @bradcoolyard
We all (white ppl) need to fully understand this. 👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻
@Regran_ed from @desireeadaway - People of color cannot force white people to notice, acknowledge or dismantle racism and the white privilege that results from it. Nor can we continually monitor and check up on their progress.
Ultimately, white people must come to their understanding of why it is in their interests to dismantle a system that does not work for all humanity and commit to creating something better - #regrann #antiracism #gettowork
I've been training for such a long time that when asked my favorite muscle to train my reply is "I just love training". Today or this morning (4:32am) was chest day, when I train this particular muscle I like to be sure to squeeze at the peak of every movement and take my time bringing the back to a relaxed position. This will increase blood flow and improve endurance of the muscle which in turn will keep it fuller for longer (The Pump).

Yoga pants have become the standard bearer of stay-at-home motherhood. Nevermind the actual yoga, the ability to wear those buttery soft pieces of cotton and Lycra as everyday wear represents the pinnacle of the SAHM life.⠀
When I was slogging it in a suit or even casual California wear in my day job, I was dreaming of the moment I could get home and put on my yoga pants. They represented everything that I wanted as a SAHM.⠀
But here’s the thing...⠀
As soon as I was a SAHM wearing yoga pants like it was my job, it only made me depressed. Sure there were a couple freewheeling and fancy-free months in there where I did pirouettes around my house. But then there were twice that many months of self-loathing and listlessness.⠀
Granted, there are a lot of high achieving women who can #ladyboss in their yoga pants all day long. I have major entrepreneurial girl crushes on a lot of them. But for me, I need “real” clothes.⠀
As my friends can attest, I have a basic uniform that you will find me in most days. Jeans. T-shirt. A sweater or light jacket. Earrings. Necklace. Maybe a colorful scarf. This is dressed enough for me to feel motivated and alert enough to not fall asleep on the couch for 2 hours a day (true story).⠀
Are you pro yoga pants or pro-“real” clothes. Comment below.
My son was born with some health issues that took me from a FT corporate life to a stay-at-home momma. After we got over the hump, I was able to go back to work but I decided to do it differently this time! I contracted my services to a handful of companies and was able to work from home and continue to be with him. My husband used to make fun of me…”you know you don’t have to be at your desk every morning right at 8:30, right No one can see you!” Old habits are often hard to quit! But, in all honesty, I’m quite loyal and committed to my employers and those who’ve given me the opportunities to further my career. I was taught from a very early age to be a good steward of what I’ve been given - in my talents, my time, my resources and my finances. I can still hear my Lou Baby speak that into me throughout my years. (As a parent, if you ever wonder if your words are sticking…they are!) So, this morning, as I rushed to “get to work” (and kept wondering what I’d been doing this morning at such a slow pace!) Craig’s words came back…this time with a giggle! Yep, I can be way more relaxed in my career today, but…I still love my discipline. I will still be loyal and committed and thankful for the opportunities I’ve been given. And I’ll be a good steward of my time, my talents, my resources and my finances. I will be joyful in my work for Him. So, whether it’s a writing day, a business lunch, a board meeting, a coaching call or a training course, I’m going to give it my all!!! Here’s to getting to your “desk” on time and putting in the time to better yourself, further your career and see your dreams fulfilled!!! .
