🌈🌈Taste The Rainbow🌈🌈
I don't visit @sainsburys that often so not sure if these are a new product or not! I spotted these no gluten containing rainbow tortillas today in the crisp aisle and thought they looked interesting!! .
Retailing at £1.25 for six bags these are good value and a good alternative if you miss Doritos!! They are also less than under 100 calories per pack! RESULT!! 😃
[What are some of your fave dessert places Comment them down below] -
📍GLASGOW: Popped into @flavasglasgow a couple of nights ago since I was really craving strawberry milkshake and they were the only dessert place open at 11.30pm.
I really don’t like writing negative reviews but if I’m honest, I was a little disappointed with the service. When we arrived, no staff member came to take us to our seats (although they had seen us walk in) so we kind of just wandered in and started looking at the cake display etc until someone would finally come.
No one came.
After a good 5minutes, the lady behind the counter asked us what we would like to order, probs assuming we were here for takeaway We told her we were wanting to sit in but since we looked at the menu, we placed our order. We then went and saw ourselves to our table.
CHOCOLATE FUDGE CAKE *gf option*: Pretty standard chocolate cake, but it was a little on the stale side 😕. I wasn’t expecting anything amazing since it’s the usual GF options when visiting dessert places.
FERRERO ROCHER CHEESECAKE.
For drinks we ordered STRAWBERRIES & CREAM MILKSHAKE and BUBBLEGUM MILKSHAKE.
I was expecting the milkshakes to come out in glasses considering we were sitting in however we were given them in takeaway cups 🤔. Worked out well though as we ended up taking them away with us after finishing the cakes but it would have been nice to have it served properly as displayed on the menu.
It took around 25 minutes before our order came out even though the place was really quiet.
Don’t think I’ll be back here in a rush ☹️. -
I Enjoyed this one last night!🙂 Using @aldiuk gluten free pork sausages and @tescofood free from gravy and some added onion! I made a banging gluten free Bangers n Mash! .
Who else loves this simple and delightful dish I want it again tonight!!
Yesterday we went for a late lunch/early dinner at @redonion257. They’ve got a pretty extensive menu with lots of #glutenfree options. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This is what my brother and I went for (both Coeliacs 👊🏻). ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Overall, the food was pretty nice. My pork and patatas bravas dish was lovely! And although it might not look like much the frozen raspberries in hot white chocolate sauce was amazing! 🤤 As someone who follows a gluten free diet I feel like I have become a bit of a connoisseur when it comes to brownies (😂) so I was a bit disappointed, it was a little on the dry side. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I might not have been super impressed but I’d go back!

📍GLASGOW: Cutest little surprise from the husband as he picked up this little box of goodies from @wildfloursbakery 😭❤️. -
RED VELVET CUPCAKE: This was literally my first cupcake after being diagnosed with Ceoliac Disease and it tasted just like a normal gluten filled cupcake, if not better!
EMPIRE BISCUIT: Perfection. I literally ate this as soon as I opened the box 🤭 oops. I’ll be coming back to get some more though!
STICKY TOFFEE CUPCAKE: Again, the cupcake was perfect. The icing was sweet but not too sweet. Absolutely beautiful.
SALTED CARAMEL BROWNIE: So good warmed up and it’s vegan too!
Loved eating at our local Beefeater prior to diagnosis but was so anxious after diagnosis that they would be able to accommodate me. I have been more than 5 times now and ordered different things each time. The male manager who has happened to be on shift most of the time I have attended is awesome ! So attentive and sat with me on multiple occasions with the allergen book! On one occasion I was visiting for a family birthday and we wanted to order sharing starters, he helped us adapt them so I could indulge in them too ! So confident having a family meal out which is absolutely awesome #beefeater #crookedlum #glutenfree #coeliacdisease #coeliaclife #glutenfreeeats #glutenfreeglasgow #glasgowfood #glasgowfoodie
#gifted I'm loving these new Session Ale craft beers from @bellfieldbrewery ! .
You may have saw on my story last week the guys at Bellfield sent me some cans of the newly launched 330ml cans to try! .
It's great having the option of a smaller can of gluten free beer as I often fancy a beer but not a full bottle. This one has citrus tones with a nice malt undertone. Taste wise I found it very refreshing. .
There aren't a lot of small can gf options around at the moment, so it's great that Bellfield have launched this product. Bellfield are also launching cans of craft lager very soon! These look fab too and I can't wait to try!! .
I'm a huge fan of the brewery and have been keen to spread the word of their great tasting beers. It's great that the brand was launched by coeliacs and the beer is made gluten free and not just gluten removed. .
I've been enjoying craft beer and ale recently and we have so many options now as coeliacs! Long may it continue! .
*Session Ale is available via Bellfield's website, @realfoods_uk (launching 22nd Feb), and many more outlets very soon!
Haven't done this for a while !!🙂 Here's my gluten free weekly shop for this week. I've tried to be smart with my shopping recently and not just shop in one supermarket! So last night I took trips to @morrisons , @tescofood and @aldiuk . .
From Morrisons I got,
☀️Free From Rice Cakes.
☀️@mcvitiesofficial Gluten Free Hob Mobs.
☀️ Free From Raspberry Macaroon individual cakes
☀️Free From Fish Fingers
☀️@irnbru Xtra - Can't live with without it! (Three of the items were from the reduced to clear area, Morrisons are my favourite store for bargains. I always get loads!)
From Tesco I picked up,
☀️@sharwoodscy Chinese curry sauce - loving this just now and only 90p
From @aldiuk I got some great goodies including,
☀️Frozen Basa Fillets.
☀️Sweet and sour sauce jar - I love this for my fakeaways.
☀️Tempura Chicken (love this too)
☀️Pork Sausages (gluten free symbol on bottom left corner) .
This all came to just over £20! It just proves a gluten free shop doesn't need to cost a fortune!! 😁
What's your favourite item in this weekly shop
I came across these Nutty Nature bars in @homebargains today! They are gluten free, dairy free, vegan and soya free and were a bargain at only 99p! .
It's the first I've came across them in my local store but they are very much like Nakd bars. I picked up a pack of peanut, cacao and caramel and thought they were delicious!! 😀
What's your favourite on the go gluten free treat

📍GLASGOW: @wtfdesserts never fails when it comes to dessert. My fave (and pretty sure everyone’s else’s fave) place to go whenever I’m craving something sweet.
The CHOCOLATE BROWNIE W. CUSTARD is gluten free and bloody delicious. If I’m not having that then it’s either a galaxy milkshake or a fresh strawberry milkshake 🍓😍. -
STRAWBERRY & NUTELLA CREPE and CHOCOLATE LAVE CAKE for the sisters. They also very much enjoyed their dessert.
Always a 10/10 for atmosphere, staff friendliness & taste.
Rare post today! #notarepost 😂
Today I made a one pot chicken lentil stew with a mixed beans, which was served on top of a bed of sweet leaf salad!
High in protein, low in carbs but full of goodness.
1 medium onion
3 cloves of garlic
30g of lentils
100g of mixed bean
200g of chicken breast
200g tin of tomatoes
2 tsp of Cayenne pepper
80g of salad
Probably my favourite thing to eat after a long day, and there's barely any washing up!! 😂
Would you think this bowl was just a big bowl of leftover bits and bobs I found in my fridge! 😍 well it is!! 😁 halloumi, avocado, red onion, kale and lettuce 🥑🥬 what more could you want!
Well, maybe a bit of sunshine to go with this delish bowl of goodness... ☀️😂
I hope everyone is having a delish lunch too and a fab Tuesday! Good day for me so far, started with more of @thefitnessmarshall (if you haven’t seen any of his videos, go check them out! So much fun and what a way to start the day 💖) and now I’m working on my website! 💪🏻 Happy Tuesday all! 💜

📍GLASGOW: It took me a while, but I FINALLY got to try out breakfast at @singlendcafe_garnethill 🙌🏾. When we arrived, there was a 30min wait which I expected since I know it’s always quite busy. We were seated at some sofas and had some tea & juice while we waited for our table. This also gave us a chance to have a read of the menu and decide what we’d like to order. I love how the menu had a variety of gluten free options and was clearly marked with GFI meaning gluten free ingredients used - this made it very easy to decide on what to order.
VEGGIE BAKED EGGS: Baked eggs with spinach, halloumi, red onions and beans served with gluten free Focaccia bread.
I didn’t expect the portion size to be so big as I was struggling to finish it all, but it was v nice!
The plate at the back - VEGGIE BREAKFAST: Sautéed chestnut mushrooms, beans, roast cherry tomatoes, sweet potato rounds, spinach & scrambled eggs served with sourdough bread.
Both dishes cost £10.
The cafe is also dog friendly if you don’t mind sharing your space with a 🐶 or two.

I’m heading up to the Western Highlands this weekend with my super intrepid pals @goingthewholehogg (you need to follow their exciting lives!) and we’ve got a whole lot of GLUTEN FREE dehydrated meals from @firepotfood to fuel the adventure! ⛰
All their meals are made with natural ingredients and they have veggie, vegan and GF options. ⛰
In our stash for the weekend we’ve got chili con carne, porcini mushroom risotto, posh pork and beans and we are tasting some of their new brekkie options too which sound super delicious ⛰
We’re staying in a couple of bothies over the weekend so I’m just praying my tootsies stay warm and dry. Wish me luck, friends! ⛰
📍GLASGOW: Okay so this post is a little delayed, but I finally got to try some sushi from @nukunuku.gla 🍣😍. I’m quite a big sushi lover so I had high hopes for this place and am quite pleased to say I was not left disappointed.
Before visiting, I dropped them a DM to ask about their GF options and was given a really kind response back from Karen - the first great customer service experienced from them.
I then went in a few days later and Karen remembered who I was from our conversation and explained the menu to me in detail about what I could have and what to stay away from - second great customer service experienced from them.
VOLCANO NUKU ROLL: Salmon and avocado roll topped with cheese, tobiku and spicy mayo. This roll was adapted so that it could be made gluten free for me since I really wanted to try cheese on sushi and as weird as it seems, it was actually quite nice!
SALMON AVOCADO NUKU ROLL: Inside out roll with salmon and avocado (again) sprinkled with seaweed powder - v v enjoyable!
We also had the standard salmon hosomaki because we literally can’t have sushi without ordering that.
We were also told the chicken is halal so will need to try some chicken options next time!
10/10 for everything. The service. The sushi. The whole experience.
I can see this place becoming a regular for us 🤩
Heading on a Highland adventure this weekend so decided to make some snacks for the road! ⛰
Chocolate and cashew nakd bar balls. They taste and smell amazing and so easy to make! Thanks to @thelittlegreenspoon for the recipe inspo✨
🔹150g dates pitted and soaked in boiling water for 5 mins
🔸150g cashews dry roasted for 10 mins 🔹1tbsp cacao powder
🔸2 tbsp GF oats
Blended well the cashews first then chucked in the rest and rolled into balls. #glutenfreeglasgow
📍MANCHESTER: The last 🏴 post (for now) and it’s ending with dessert!
I spotted @hautedolci while I was at @intutraffordcentre and had to try it out. The place was so busy when we arrived and it took us just under 30mins to get seated!! It reminded me a bit of Heavenly Desserts by the decor and menu layout except that the menu was labelled clearly with Gluten Free options - that’s a win for me!
CHEAT DAY *GF option*: As pictured above, this was their chocolate fudge cake covered in chocolate sauce with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Not going to lie, it was enjoyable but nothing amazing. The menu had stated the cake is “adorned by fresh fresh berries” however I was given a thin slice of strawberry at the side of my cake Little bit disappointing.
OREO CHEESECAKE *Hubby’s option*: Pictured at the back, half eaten because he clearly could not wait for me to take a picture of it 😂. He did say it was nice though and munched it all pretty fast!
Despite my lack of berries experience, I probably would go back to try their other GF options because they do have a lot to offer. I’ll put this one down to ordering the wrong thing and give it another go when I’m back down there again.
Roasting up some pears with thyme and olive oil, this was for a bit of a random recipe I tried with my black rice... onion, celery, black rice, red wine, veg stock, Roquefort cheese and roast pears. It ended up being wayyyyyyy too salty and I mega under cooked the rice. Black rice takes ages to cook it seems. Pears were 👌🏻 though. Hey, you win some you lose some. #glutenfreeglasgow
