MEET OUR MEMBERS 💪🏻 This is Diana and as you can see, she’s pregnant! She’s been a regular with us for many years so it’s super exciting for everyone to join in her journey through first-time motherhood. Of course she wants to be healthy, have a great pregnancy and have a happy healthy baby.
Recently when prompting our members to set some 1st quarter goals, Diana posted hers loud and clear... to continue working out her entire pregnancy! So far, she has been KILLING that goal!
This may be a bit controversial to some... even some doctors still seem to view pregnant women as frail, delicate creatures who should do little more than light walks during pregnancy. So, is it really realistic, or even safe to workout the whole time... especially doing CrossFit
YOU BET IT IS! As long as you were doing it prior to pregnancy, are in the hands of experienced coaches who are well versed on pre to postpartum fitness and cleared by your doctor, it’s actually one of the best things you can do for you AND your baby!
If mom is healthy and strong, baby has a much better shot at inheriting those health factors. And studies show that pregnancy, labor, delivery AND recovery are all made a bit easier by being fit and strong.
