Delighted to announce I’ve been asked to be the First Artist in Residence on the beautiful American Cruise Line. We set sail this afternoon on the Intercostal Waterway, up the Golden Coast. I’ll be teaching, demoing and speaking on the ‘Creative Journey’
I will be showcasing the fabulous products of #goldenartistcolors #qorwatercolors #williamsburgoils

“Déjà Vu” 24”x36”
This was a very experimental piece for me. When I first started working on this I hated the way the texture turned out. It was dull to me and I was almost ready to scrap it. Later, something in my mind told me to go pick up the silicone spatula (that I use to apply my face masks haha) and start applying paint with that. I LOVE how the texture came out! It’s exactly what I’ve been trying to achieve for a while now! Sooo...I guess I’ll be buying more silicone spatulas of various sizes now 😆 Also, I used Golden and Arteza paints. They have a wonderful, thick consistency 👌
The idea to use the yarn was completely arbitrary. I simply had some yarn lying around and I thought it would be interesting to use it with the painting. I poked holes in the canvas and strung them through.
I’ll also be posting a better quality picture of the full painting tomorrow. Stay tuned!

“The Fruits of My Labor” . AlI I wanted to do today was play with form and color. These are my #gelliplate prints from the other day. I added texture with 3-D rice paper at the bottom. Topped it off with handmade stamps, Fluorescent paint, and the deliciousness of thick white Heavy Body brush strokes- YUM! #goldenartistcolors
