let me tell you guys!!! this was the most fulfilling meal, I have had in a long time! Me and my cousin killed all of this, and let’s just say we had to undo some bottoms 😗... the total cost came out to be around $44 which isn’t bad for the amount of food you get! Definitely check it out!

Babaganoush is food of the gods to me! I vary it every time but below is my basic recipe, sometimes I add pomegranate molasses, more lemon, garlic but always plenty of tahini for my palette. 🍆🍆🍆
3 X aubergine
1 small garlic clove, crushed
2-3 tbsp good Olive oil
3 tbsp tahini
1 tbsp pomegranate molasses
Juice if half a lemon
Salt to taste
Using bbq, gas flame or a hot grill (broiler), cook the aubergine turning 4x until the skin is burnt and smoky and the flesh has become soft - this takes time and is where the flavour comes, so don’t rush. Rest until cool enough to handle then cut in half and scoop out the smokey flesh, discarding the skin.
Place the flesh in a bowl with the tahini, garlic, olive oil pomegranate molasses, lemon juice and salt and whisk with a fork until smooth.
In DC we stayed at Hotel Hive—DC’s first micro-hotel. And while it may have been micro, there was nothing small about our experience. The staff was endlessly helpful and kind. They were committed to making our stay a great one.
Located 16 minutes from the White House and 10 minutes from the Lincoln Memorial, Hotel Hive is an amazing price for its prime location!
The rooms were clean and neat, with white sheets and towels (black washcloths though 😖. Thank god tamara brought some for us!)
All in all, I’d Hotel Hive an 8/10. Their website was a bit glitchy, and the black washcloths threw us off. But there was an &pizza right next door and that was amazing!!

wow🤯 my first, homemade decent lunch in what...a week😅 i’ve made too many excuses for myself to skip lunch as either i got caught up in work...working out...or just being lazy and thinking ordering a salad from some restaurant will do me fine. but nothing beats a home cooked meal, not only does it boost ur ego but u know every ingredients ur putting into ur body! i need to practice this more often and i’m guilty of falling off the bandwagon on this, but there’s always space for improvement (unlike this plate where there LITERALLY is no more space to put anything 😜) hope everyone has a mighty fine tuesday !

When I was traveling to Italy for work a few times a year, I used to have prosciutto, speck or bresaola with salad everyday for lunch. They would as some tomato and some mozzarella. Fished off with some olive oil and vinegar.
