The sun is setting over the garden center as the JVI Christmas Experience approaches its close! This weekend will be THE LAST WEEKEND to sit by the fire with cocoa, get photos with your tree, and be a part of our favorite season. The garden center will be open next week with shortened hours - stay tuned, and #joinus soon! 🎄❄️🎄
Well would you look at that! It’s Friday, and our lovely little greenhouse store is open sesame! Filled to the brim, we’ve ensured it is stocked to bursting with all our favourites ahead of this, our last week in the shop as owners. It’s been a huge, beautiful rollercoaster of a ride, Melbourne - come and say goodbye with us! Open 10 - 6 today, and 10 - 4 all weekend! 😭🌿✨⌇◯⌢◦
I haven’t posted in a few weeks, but I’m still here 👋🏻 just trying to slow down and enjoy this insanely busy holiday season. So here is a lovely photo from our wedding because me and my fern obsession are still going strong. 😁🌿 Shot by the amazing @victoria.selman
If you’re anything like me, the week or so before Christmas seems to be the perfect time to redecorate the whole house. You too If so, today is the last day to order framed artwork for pre-Xmas delivery. Not sure family/friends/housemates will share your enthusiasm for a makeover but I’m cheering you on from over here. I’ll be the one covered in paint 😉
Another arrangement available for the holiday season! Titled, "Candy Cane Lane" 🍭🎄 Design: Andie
Use your Thieves Household Cleaner as a natural pesticide!!!
I have a lot of plants and over the last two years I have been finding ways NOT to kill them!
Here is a few tips I have learned:
1. Keep the plant in the plastic container it comes in because it has drainage holes! Proper drainage helps against root rot as well as give the plant time to dry. An always moist environment is a perfect place for those little flies and bugs to form.
2. Don't over water your plant. Make sure you wait till the plant is completely dry before watering it again.
3. Let it properly drain and then spray the whole plant..leaves...stem..root...top of the soil...with diluted thieves household cleaner.
4. Keep your plants away from vents. Some bugs love the air vents!
Hope these tips help you...they have done wonders for my plants... thankfully a lot of them have survived and flourished!
