Treasured Tools Featured Artist: @kingofmicestudios
There is nothing more satisfying to a painter than crisp new brushes and perfectly organized paints. Carolee Clark of King of Mice Studios shares her Treasured Tools with us this week! Here are a few of the acrylic paints and brushes she uses to paint on functional wood pieces, and occasionally canvas. And one of a hot cuppa, which Carolee finds every bit as necessary. See more enchanting works by Carolee Clark at Bewitching Peddlers of Halloween. September 28th, 2019

What exciting project are you working on today
We are pleased to introduce you to Scott A. Stoll. He will be joining us for Bewitching Peddlers of Halloween 2019.
Scott A. Stoll is a self taught artist born and raised in the sleepy town of Reed City, Michigan. During his teenage years Scott developed a deep passion for science fiction, horror and Halloween. After graduating from Ferris State University with a bachelor’s degree in Television Production he continued his love for the genres and started creating monsters and mayhem with whatever materials were on hand.
See more of Scott’s work at our 2019 show. September 28th, 2019. Marshall, Michigan. Calhoun County Fairgrounds.

For our next Treasured Tools featured artist, we share with you the magical @chambersartisan
Bewitching Peddlers of Halloween artist Jill Chambers loves trees and plants. Curly willow is one of her favorite trees so she takes cuttings and plant them here and there, this one was only about 18 inches when she was planted. Their twisted branches make lovely parts for little houses, skeleton clothing, cars, etc. In the labelled boxes are dried plants and flowers which Jill will hand press all the growing season. They can be found adorning her ornaments and houses. Shown is a small, simple-to-make flower press. Most of Jill’s are about 2 to 3 times that size.

#Green ~ One of my most favorite colors! 💚🎃💚 We made & sold these original green jacks last year for Halloween. Novelty folk art collectibles tend to be a big hit just because you can’t find ‘em anywhere. I was super excited when my friends at Bethany Lowe Designs agreed to reproduce one of my green jack-o’-lantern concepts for Halloween 2019! We’re hoping to get samples of those soon and possibly take orders on those sweeties. We’ll see! Wishing happy GREEN DREAMS to you! ☘️
💖🐝 Day Nine: Story Behind the Name : I sometimes curse my name because of how simple and plain it is. So simple that people often forget it - to which I grumble “it’s literally three letters. K-I-M”. So I was initially annoyed that I couldn’t come up with a witty play on my name like the ones you often see on Etsy. The ones that just roll off the tongue. During my brain storming, I remembered a nickname given to me by a child; who couldn’t say “Kimberly” and would always say “Kimberbee” instead. And, if you know me or have been following along, you know that I’m very enthusiastic about our wee chubby yellow friends. I’m the weirdo who looks for tired bees on the side walks or roads, picking them up with my bare hands and giving them some honey (which I may or may not carry a very tiny jar in my bag specifically for) and wait till their strong enough to fly away. I was called a ‘Bee Witch’ by a worker at a renaissance faire because, while I was standing around waiting for my husband, these large bees suddenly appeared and began to chill with me (like literally on my hat and shoulder and beside me, no joke). I even have a wood bee living in my mailbox (I call him Round Boi). So the name seemed to fit in perfectly. Gifts was just added on because that’s what my creations are meant to be...Gifts. I love giving gifts, and I love making these for you! I’d also like to think that the name rolls off the tongue. 🐝💖
