I feel like there’s a common misconception about oils and babies.
Let’s talk about this.
I get told every day through social media that essential oils cannot be used on children under 3 months old, if at all. ❌ That is *partially* FAKE NEWS. ❌
I used oils during both of my pregnancies. Oils were put on my children the day they were born. Wyatt will be 4 in December and Lily will be 2 in December (December is super fun), and they still use oils every day.
Oils can be used at any stage of life........with proper dilution.
When my kids were newborns, I only a selected 4 oils, one drop of each, with massive dilution of coconut oil.
Before using an oil on a baby, make sure to text it on a patch of skin. See if there is a reaction. If not, then that is a safe oil.
The 4 oils I used with my kids were:
2. Gentle Baby
That was all we used until they started teething. Then, I introduced Copaiba.
Now, let’s talk about that *partial* part.
The only oil brand that I’ve ever used on my children is Young Living. That is the only brand I will ever trust, and the only brand I am comfortable using in my kids, my animals, and myself.
I trust them because I’ve seed the farms. I’ve seen the machinery. I’ve seen the testing equipment. I’ve seen the labs. I’ve seen everything.
I trust them because they are 100% transparent.
Young Living loses millions of dollars each year because they will throw out oils if they do not meet their rigorous standards.
I will sit here and say with 100% confidence that Young Living essential oils are safe for children or anyone at any stage of life. They are the best and have set the global standard.
I cannot morally say the same for every other essential oil company that seems to come out of the woodwork these days.
So yes, oils are safe for everyone, but I only trust Young Living on my babies.
Here are some things we use oils for:
1. Sleep support
2. Digestion support
3. Skin support
4. Immune support
5. Emotional support
