This guy @pestersuperstar !
I started working back in March April and it’s been a whirlwind of a journey. Introduced by the big man @_deanwhyte at Miguel’s boxing gym, I had about 4 weeks to try to get John stronger and more powerful.
I can remember Johns face when I was screening him and asking him to do things he’d probably never seen before. But fair play to John he just got stuck in.
John informed me his legs always went in round x2 so we did what we could for his next fight at the O2. Obviously I had to avoid picking up any injuries in such a short space of time but also add work that would assist in giving John more strength.
It’s a challenge with people in boxing when you come with something new that they haven’t seen before. It still has a very old school approach to strength and conditioning with no real plan for a camp. It’s more of an “I know what I’m doing” approach.
John won the fight by a mile and said he felt stronger and fitter than ever. 👍🏼
Since then we have consistently be working on his feet movement, strength, power and recovery.
I’m proud to say johns stats and the eye test show that he’s progressed enormously.
Although John lost his last English title challenge. It was at real short notice and no one denied him the praise he deserved for his part in the fight. He was a warrior and dug deeper than anyone knew he could.
Now we have more time to plan and progress I’m looking to take johns fitness to another level.
He’s an athlete and we just need him to realise what he can achieve as sometimes he’s even surprised when he sees the things we get him to do.
The power he creates is something to be seen and we are working on progressing his movement patterns to generate more power and snap that will translate into the ring. The feedback for his team is he’s hitting harder and moving better so things seem to be moving in the right direction.
Keep watching out for @pestersuperstar his story makes him a inspiration for many. His ability and willingness to learn make him a dangerous opponent for anyone in the ring.
2020 let’s get it camp.

I know this is just a video of some squats, but this day and this song bring back a whole lot more for me...
4 years ago, I had just left a highly abusive situation that no one but me, the person and God knew about. 4 days after my family lost a legacy. My grandfather, who was THE definition of “a good man”. He was a man like no other and I’m certain none are left in this world like him. Little did I know on this day, that I’d allow the loss of him to spiral me right back into the situation I had just escaped from...and that it’d get much worse.
Why am I saying all this Because, to look at my life TODAY and remember just where I was 4 years ago....I am humbled and so so GRATEFUL.
I’m grateful for allowing the pain of loss and of my own mistakes to teach me and transform me. The scared and insecure woman became the woman I am today. And I assure you, she’s all spit and fire...with a whole lot of GRACE.
I believe the woman I am today would have made my grandpa proud. And that to me, is a victory.
If you guys are in need of a victory, take this story as a sign. It’s coming. 💪🏽

10 slow then 10 fast, 4 sets. Man I forgot how much I loved @queensofthestoneage . @ironasylumgymak I did 4 sets of 4 drop sets just because you got that machine, 160 reps on that bastard
The gym is a tool, using it allows you to accomplish whatever goals you have set for yourself. Whether that’s getting stronger, leaner, more flexible or just healthier overall, the gym & training allows us to achieve success.
Sometimes though, the gym serves a bigger purpose. It’s a therapists office. A place to work through some shit that’s plaguing your mind. Burn off some steam and frustration. Work through a problem on your head. Power through a rough break-up. It’s as much a mental workout as it is a physical one at times.
I think that’s one of the most overlooked aspects of fitness especially for those on the outside looking in. They see a guy bench pressing and just assume he’s some vain a$$hole and write him off. While yes, there are a large number of people who solely workout for the aesthetic value of it, they never last or eventually change their tune down the road.
So please, the next time you see some guy with his hood down & headphones in. Don’t just assume he’s some meathead who only cares about his ab veins & quad sweep. Maybe he’s working through some demons.
Oh, and if you have an issue with the @onepeloton ad, re-read this caption once more.
2 BACK Exercises for a Wide & Thicc Back 🔥
SAVE & Give these a try during your next Pull or Upper Body Workout
Lat Pulldown - 3x8-12
Low Row - 3x8-10
There are 2 main movement patterns you need to use to target the back. To get a wider back, you need to perform ‘Shoulder Extension’ (bringing the arm across the body; front to back). To get more thiccness, you need to perform ‘Scapular Retraction’ (squeezing the shoulderblades back). By using these techniques, you’ll create a well-developed back 🤓
