We know our experiences live in our bodies and painful memories often metastasize in unhealthy ways. This is why it’s so important to get to the root of our pain and actively release it. Luckily there are so many methods we can use to do this and dancing is one of them! For those of you that could use some extra support and joy around the holidays, I got you! I’m facilitating a special Healing Mother Wounds workshop — we’ll be exploring therapeutic modalities, including movement therapy techniques to release painful memories and embody our strengths. If you’d like to connect with some wonderful women and heal from some mama trauma, be sure to reserve your spot 🔆 Sunday, December 15th, 10am-5pm @cocoonsantamonica. What if we could go back in time and heal things that happened in the past If our soul can travel in the dream world, then we have access to the flexible and timeless nature of the spirit. These are some thoughts that inspired this video collab with my friend Aeric. More specifically, i wanted to explore what it would be like to revisit and recreate my birthing experience; accessing whatever emotional, physical, energetic memory and information i have of this time period. One thing i know for sure, is my mother was experiencing layers of trauma around this time and there’s no way this didn’t impact me. But as i do intentional healing work on myself, i see how it not only supports my growth, but it also impacts my mother’s journey, and our relationship as a whole. It always comes full circle. We have done a lot to change our relationship for the better, but i think next steps for us is to continue to elevate our relationship in more nuanced ways. And so i float — feeling the support of salt water lifting me up and cleansing me; providing a nurturing, welcoming experience. And so i dance - releasing pain from this past time. Creating new cellular memory, impacting how i move in the world. This is part of my practice to heal my body, heal my heart and support my evolution. And whatever themes i’m working on personally, tends to show up in my art and #HealHerWorkshops. Which is why recreating experiences through visualization and movement therapy are some of the tools we’ll be using in our upcoming Healing Mother Wounds workshop. If you got some mama trauma and self identify as women, you’re welcome to join us. We’re gathering for a very special intensive healing day, which i offer once a year in LA. We’ll be integrating therapeutic techniques to support new narratives while creating a space for us to breathe easier together. A space filled with support, understanding and love 💚💚💚 December 15th, 10-5pm. For more info, visit link in bio 💫 ⠀

There is an unparalleled experience that happens when a group of like minded women gather, who are committed to exploring how we can make this world a kinder, safer more peaceful place to coexist in. Which is why i’m really looking forward to our upcoming Healing Mother Wounds Workshop Sunday, December 15th. For more info and to RSVP visit TatianaZamir.com 💜💫
One theme that kept coming up during last years #HealHerWorkshops tour was how to navigate challenging relationships with our mothers, and it made sense that this topic kept threading its way thru our work. Our relationship with our mother is a potent one and perhaps the biggest conduit shaping our identity and how we move in the world. Mothers represent a lot; they are our first teachers, our first introduction to the concept of a Creator - bringing us into the world and molding meaning into our very existence. Many of us carry mother wounds not only from our birthing experiences but from lifetimes of neglect, abuse and well-intentioned parenting that simply didn’t support our highest potential. Healing from these experiences can support us in living a more fulfilling life -- filled with courage, creativity, liberation and deep, authentic love. I’m incredibly grateful that my mother and I were able to transform a toxic relationship into one that is more honest, healthy, beautiful and ever-evolving. And while I look forward to sharing how we got to this place, I’m also clear that everyone has their own unique story and path. Which is why this workshop and all of my workshops are less about you learning from me and more about a space that supports you to go deeper within. Healing looks different for everyone and it doesn’t always mean that you’re able to have a positive interactive relationship. Sometimes healthy interaction is far from possible; sometimes it’s not safe to interact; sometimes it just isn’t time. Whatever your story is, there are always levels of healing that we can embrace when we’re ready to, and we invite you to do just that. If you’re interested in attending our upcoming intensive healing day, there’s a space just for you 💜 Check out more info at TatianaZamir.com 💫 #HealHerWorkshops
Perhaps our mothers did their best but that doesn’t mean we can’t do better — for them, for ourselves and future generations to come. Join us for Healing Mother Wounds, December 15th. This is the only intensive healing day i’m offering this year and it’s gonna be good! Visit TatianaZamir.com for more info and to reserve your spot 💜💫 #HealHerWorkshops
One of the reasons i created #HealHerWorkshops is to provide a space for women to navigate stress in a creative way and to encourage post traumatic growth. And while my original intention was to provide this service for others, there is not one workshop where i didn’t personally gain a deeper sense of purpose, inner peace and liberation. The parallel process is so important and i know that i can’t hold healing spaces for others if I’m not continuing to heal myself. Which is why I’m grateful that we get to do this together. ⠀
There are two opportunities this year to experience #HealHerWorkshops:⠀
✨Healing Mother Wounds: Intensive Healing Day, December 15th in Los Angeles. ⠀
✨ #HealHerInBali: A Yoga, Dance and Healing retreat November 3rd-9th. ⠀
Info on both of these offerings are available on our website — TatianaZamir.com ⠀
If either speak to you, then we hope to see you there 💫 #SheHealHer 💗⠀
One of the reasons I believe in miracles is because of the transformative healing experience I had with my mother about 9 years a go. Long story short, my mother was an alcoholic and drug addict who was emotionally abusive and neglectful in many ways. Most of the time we both felt a deep heaviness connected to the constant turbulence that manifested in our relationship. And after years of disrespect and disfunction, I truly believed that we were a hopeless cause. Still, I always felt love for my mother. There were just more times than not where I wanted nothing to do with her. Remembering what caused that level of pain brings tears to my eyes — not because of the hardship but because I don’t feel that way anymore and what once felt impossible became an undeniable reality. As a result of both of us desiring a healthier pattern, we engaged in some intentional healing work, which eventually shifted our dynamic and changed our relationship forever. My mother went from being the biggest monster in my life to one of the most generous, giving, supportive, transformative beings I’ve ever known. And while our relationship is definitely not perfect, I can truthfully say that major shifts have occurred and the evolution of our relationship continues to unfold in unbelievable ways. Our story is birthed in oceans of pain but it’s also sprinkled with miraculous miracles. And I look forward to sharing what lead to those miracles in our upcoming “Healing Mother Wounds” workshop.⠀ ⠀
This workshop is for womyn who desire healing in their relationship with their mothers. And I can testify that this work ripples into all of our relationships; including the relationship with our children, our partners, our friends, our creativity, our career, our community and of course ourselves. I most definitely don’t have all the answers but I’m happy to share what led to our transformative healing journey -- because this theme is dear to my heart and I’m committed to creating sacred spaces where we can learn together, support each other and let truth, forgiveness and love lead the way. ⠀

Feeling at home in my new re-imagined vintage Caroline dress made by the lovely @byellowtail. When my sis Bethany came to one of my #healherworkshops she said it was one of the only experiences she had that reminded her of being home, within her indigenous community. I took this as a huge honor and compliment 🙏🏾 We see each other. We support each other and are connected through a mutual desire to offer safe, conscious creations that encourage womyn to feel a sense of peace, belonging and home. I love how this mutual feeling came full circle within our friendship and healing art creations. Plus I think it’s a special and important feeling to acknowledge and have. Do you know what and who encourages you to feel a sense of home Tell me dear one in comments below👇🏾

I’ve been home from Bali for about 3 months and I’m kind of amazed at how much things have shifted for me since that breathtaking trip. No matter what tests get thrown my way, there’s an inner peace I’ve been able to hold onto and I’m cherishing every moment of it. Getting away from the city and investing in my #selfcare is always a sure way for me to return home to my true self. This is one of the many reason I’m so excited to go back and even more excited to take some of y’all with me! ⠀

This year I choreographed, performed and produced a sold out show which highlighted artists of color via dance and live music #InMySkin317
Initiated my first #HealHerWorkshops tour which also sold out but more importantly were some of the most beautiful, powerful and inspiring days of the year. .
Celebrated 8 years of teaching weekly #AfroHipHopDance classes!
Practiced vulnerable creativity by sharing clips of raw, impromptu, improvisational performance art on IG, which is huge for me because I usually only share things that are more polished and orchestrated and I wanted to push myself in this way so we out here winning as #TatiMoves. .
Practiced loving my husband better and persevered thru the most challenging time of our marriage. More on that later. .
Found a way to support my family thru some major tests + take granny to a bunch of full day doctors visits during the busiest work time of the year. .
Also started planning a women’s healing retreat in Bali for fall of next year which I’m super excited about!! #SheHealHer
I have a really good feeling about 2019. Like it stirs me up in the best way. Whether you’re feeling down or hopeful about the future, setting goals or setting intentions to not set goals, I pray we find more peace in our hearts and rely on each other more. Here’s to experiencing an abundance of joy, love, creativity, soul nourishing experiences and dreams fulfilled. Thanks for sharing this journey with me. Much love fam 💓🙌🏾

thankful for clear ocean water and island sunshine. for endless rice fields, waterfalls and holy water temples. for friends that meet you half way around the globe. for fresh coconuts and anything lemongrass flavored. grateful to my husband for always supporting me traveling the world for work or play or both. thankful for the privilege to make dedicated time for rest, adventure and lots of #blackgirljoy. grateful to be home so I can continue planning how to get back to Bali, lol! Sometimes I dread corporate gigs. Even if I’m presenting on a topic i feel passionate about they feel nothing like my #HealHerWorkshops. They are usually filled with folks who didn’t sign up for what I’m offering and it’s never fun to deal with a room filled with resistance. But when it goes well and folks show their appreciation and enthusiasm from the experience it can be so rewarding. And even more rewarding when they’re more receptive than you expect them to be and they walk away feeling good and inspired. That’s really all i can ask for. It doesn’t always go that way. But I’m just the messenger co-creating with community and we all play a role in what we experience together. So here’s to pushing ourselves past our comfort zones and being open to what’s on the other side of that - the other side of being brave, curious and vulnerable.
How I feel about my recent #HealHerWorkshops .
Nurturing my callings is one the greatest things that brings me joy. I notice I’m not as overwhelmed by the atrocities of life because focusing on my role in the greater world web, however small that may be, keeps me grounded and moving with purpose. But just to keep it 💯 I’m also exhausted. Please don’t call me for two weeks. This week I’ll be prepping for a private full day workshop and next week I’ll be sleeping 😜 cuz #selfcare 💗
so grateful and humbled by today’s Heal Her Workshop which was the last one of the season. the timing could not have been more perfect after such an intense, political, emotional week. i strongly believe we are birthing the promise of a new tomorrow and as we know, birthing pains can be extremely painful and often times feel unbearable. keep breathing. take it slow if you need to. these social contractions are simply part of the process but we will survive our personal and collective trauma by supporting each other. please reach out to your people and spend quality time with loved ones. find gatherings of like minded folks and healing spaces that speak to you. feel the pain then find healthy ways to release it and then go breathe some more. how can you recharge how can you nourish yourself when you feel depleted maybe you need to be alone for a while but please remember to return to community when you’re ready. there is so much power, transformation and unifying solutions when we come together, plus we’re living in a time where we truly need each other, perhaps more than ever before. i know i do which is why I’m incredibly grateful to the women that showed up today. thank you for trusting me to hold honest space for you. thank you for showing up for yourself and other women who need what you got to give - those spiritual gifts that are filled with so much courage, wisdom and love. you became a healing balm to many wounds that had been cut open. let’s keep the magic, conscious support and tender love flowing, however that may look to you 💗💫 #SheHealHer #HealHerWorkshops #WeGonBeAlright
Still feeling high vibes from facilitating a #movementtherapy workshop this past weekend at Sage Sistahs LA Conference -Celebrating The Aging Journey. Holding space for mindbody connections, joy and healing in a way that seems to give back tenfold is a blessing i don’t take for granted. And you know I had to sneak in a little #AfroHipHopDance cuz that’s how we do! .
Btw there are 4 Thursday night classes left in 2018 + our 8 Year Anniversary class with live drumming is coming up on the 25th! Can’t wait ❤️💃🏽
Not everyone is going to get you, support you or encourage how you move in the world. Show up anyway. Embrace the parts of your existence you were taught to be ashamed of. .
You were not created to mold yourself into other people’s definitions, hopes and false interpretations of how you should be. You are not responsible for their reactions, judgements or criticisms. You are only responsible for trusting your truth.
You don’t need to fluff your feathers or show off your magic tricks to prove you are worthy. .
Step into your power. Step into your truth. Step into your light. You were created to show up exactly as you are. .

Thank you to all of the beautiful, brave women who healed with me this weekend and over the past couple of months in my #healherworkshops. I am seriously in awe of your strength, resilience, vulnerability and feminine power. Also, I am such a better woman because of you 🌺
Shot out to the folks who traveled from Orange County, San Diego and Chicago! — From Princeton to New York - From Nashville to Atlanta. Y’all keep inspiring me to trust this calling and explore ways I can continue to support you 🙌🏾
Speaking of, I’ve added a second LA date for the waitlist folks, which means this next workshop is already half full + I’m capping the number to 19 women instead of the usual 25 cuz we’ll be using a smaller space. .
Next workshop will be at a lovely healing arts studio at @cocoonsantamonica, October 7th, 10am-5pm. Visit TatianaZamir.com for more info & to RSVP! ❤️
I used to wake in the middle of the night gasping for breath. I was sure these night terrors were remnants of ancestral trauma. Every time I screamed myself into a sitting position and every time I saw images of white hoods with torches burning fire around my house. On top of the night terrors, I have always struggled with falling a sleep. A couple years a go I discovered that amethyst is one of the stones that helps with peaceful sleep. Out of all of my baby crystals I just so happened to own two large amethyst. I began sleeping with them next to my bed and I kid you not, I never had a night terror again. except for that one time I was traveling and forgot to pack them. I honestly thought that maybe it would help a little, but i’m still blown away at how this power stone has supported me and transformed my relationship with sleep. But that’s not it’s only superpower. Some of its properties include:
✨Mood support: promoting a calm, balanced and peaceful state .
✨Enhances psychic and intuitive abilities
✨Provides protection and supports the release of addictions .
✨Facilitates meditation and communication with ones guides/angels .
✨Supports healthy communication such as active listening/receiving ideas as well as expressing ideas/emotions .
✨Helps with difficult decision making .
✨Supports the immune system .
✨And the list goes on! May you get some good #crystaltherapy if working with these gems resonates with you. Because this particular stone has special meaning to me in addition to its healing properties aligning with many of my intentions, i have been incorporating amethyst in my #HealHerWorkshops
✨Btw LOS ANGELES 9/15 Workshop is SOLD OUT! I may be adding a second LA workshop to the calendar soon. Please let me know if you’re interested in attending 💜✨

And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to bloom. -Anais Nin
Healing is not always fun, easy or beautiful. In fact, most of the process can be very hard, ugly and seriously painful. Still, you don’t have to do it all alone. There is healing in being mirrored. There is healing in community and sisterhood. There is healing in remembering that others share your same struggles and there is a way thru - on the other side of your pain. And the pieces of truth and joy you pick up along the way begin to renew you from the inside out. Settling into your eyes, your smile and the way you move in the world. May we remember that our thorns serve to protect us and continue to bloom, blossom and be beautiful 💐 .

We will partake in a variety of soul nourishing exercises which include movement therapy techniques designed to heal from present life struggles as well as ancestral trauma. Not only so we can feel more liberated in our own spirit-bodies, but also to lesson the load for our children and future generations to come. It’s deep work. It’s powerful, effective and there’s a spot with your name on it if you’re ready for some conscious, transformational healing. Trust me when I say you are not alone, “We Got You!”

Rest your bones. Replenish your spirit. Revive your intentions. Reconnect with your authentic self. Reclaim your body and trust the healer within. .
These are just a few things that happen in my #HealHerWorkshops. Facilitating these last two workshops in Atlanta and New York has reminded me just how important this work is. That we truly need each other and there is a certain type of soul awakening, connection and transformative magic that is felt when women come together, especially to experience conscious healing. .
While LA is my home base, I am averaging only 1-2 intensive healing days a year that are open to the public. Los Angeles, don’t miss this opportunity if it speaks to you. There are 2 weeks left to register with one of the early bird specials! Visit TatianaZamir.com for more info and to RSVP 🌹
i held space for 50 women in one week in two different states. i did this while having some deep personal struggles i had to suppress so i could show up for them with all i got. but then i was able to continue my own healing in the workshops because these women went in so deep that they took me with them. i cried their tears and they cried mine. but we also laughed, danced and uplifted each other energetically and physically. i left with endless gratitude in my heart and i will continue to celebrate these unforgettable moments, because it’s these special moments that remind me why I’m alive.
Los Angeles you’re next! Join us for a special intensive healing day led by yours truly. Early bird specials are available until 9/9. For more info visit: TatianaZamir.com ✨✨✨

When women support each other incredible things happen — I am breathing in this mantra because it couldn’t be more true. I am overwhelmed with awe and gratitude for the healing that happened in this space. Thank you NY for showing up with so much vulnerability, honesty and wisdom. This was a powerful group and I’m still processing the strength, commitment and love that circulated within and around us. Incredibly grateful to be a vessel for this work ✨💫

After lots of travel, 3 hours of sleep, and starting my cycle the morning of the workshop i wasn’t sure how i would hold up. But it’s crazy how your body will push through and become a vehicle when you’re in your purpose. And I’d do it all over again to experience the magic and transformation that happened in this Heal Her workshop. So grateful to be creating spaces that allow women to strengthen their trust in other women and themselves. •
Atlanta you were so receptive 🙏🏾 Even the ones that came in with a stank face left with hearts wide open. Thank you! You healed me just as much as I hope to have healed you. What a powerful group of womyn 💓🙌🏾 #SheHealHer •
NY you have a few hours left to register with one of the early bird specials. See y’all Sunday 💫 #HealHerWorkshops
We need spaces where we can decompress, move freely and feel comfortable in our skin. Spaces where we can express ourselves creatively and tap into the magic that desires to flow through us. Spaces where we can play, have fun and also go as deep within as needed in order to clear the noise around us and connect with that inner knowing that brings true peace of mind. Spaces where we can really be ourselves and allow our authenticity to vibrate out through our pores. Giving everyone around us permission to breathe easy and let love connect us to something greater than ourselves. My hope is that these upcoming Heal Her workshops will be that type of space that encourages so many wholesome womyn to get exactly what they need to support them through life’s challenges. Perhaps this type of space is exactly what you or someone you know is longing for and could benefit from being supported in this way. •

We have stories in our bodies we can heal through movement. Stories that have caused us pain. A pain we can learn how to set free.
Heal Her is an experience where we can tap into our whole being - mind, body, heart and spirit - through intentional exercises, including my Movement Liberation Technique. .
It's a space where we can feel supported, uplifted and grounded in who we are. Where we can be immersed in the beauty of the feminine. .
Whether we have danced since childhood or never before - We can embrace our unique design and truly love the body we are in -- as we move ourselves into freedom. #SheHealHer

My office this week + 6 THINGS .... inspired by @nikkiblak but she does it better 🌹
1. This week I got to co-lead a retreat via an organization called A Thousand Joys. I usually facilitate holistic healing arts retreats with the Joyful Heart Foundation so there's definitely a theme happening here 🤗
2. We had a digestive physiologist as our chef and a massage therapist who teaches hip hop chi gong. Just a taste of our diverse, amazing team.
3. I saw a mama and baby deer right outside my tea house - twice 💕
4. The first activity I was encouraged to do by my boss was to swim in a healing mineral salt pool to bond with participants. Uhmm, yes please!
5. While some of y'all may think we're just over here having a good time, I continue to discover just how deep and profound this #healing work is. Our research has been trickling in from Georgetown University and the results are mind blowing! I can't wait to share them with you once they're published.
6. I am incredibly grateful for this dream job and all of the beautiful experiences that come with it. Shot out to my boss, co-facilitator, friend and gangster word smith Sherisa for always believing in me, pushing my work forward and creating healing spaces I get to participate in. I am in deep #gratitude 🙏🏾
We've prepared a seat for you. Placed gifts on your bed. Sprayed the rooms with sage and well wishes. Set intentions and sang your praises before even meeting you. This week will be soulful. This week will be sacred. This week will be special, because it always is. #HolisticHealingArtsRetreat #Day1 #WomensWellness #JoyfulHeartFoundation
It was an honor to work with such a high caliber of amazing women today. I continue to be inspired by your glory and reminded of how important these types of healing spaces are. Spaces that awaken us, empower us and encourage the feminine to thrive. Thank you ladies for being so fabulous, simply by being you! #nofilter #purebeauty #purejoy #SheHealHer #HealHerWorkshops
One of the ladies missing from the photo is @mumumansion cuz she took the pic. Thanks boo!
Totally forgot to take a group photo of tonight's healing workshop, so I share my tired, grateful eyes instead. Thank you ladies for trusting me. Thank you for trusting each other. My heart is full ✨💖✨ #SheHealHer - Link in bio 🙌🏾
As if the results of the election didn’t stir up enough turmoil - now, with the holiday season upon us - many of us will also be processing family dynamics and #foodaddiction, which often times triggers insecurities around #bodyimage. There is a lot to digest emotionally and physically.
So many people are afraid, nervous, angry, fearful and sad - and they have a right to be. These feelings are important and are part of the human experience. My question is, do you have healthy ways to process these emotions to help prevent body pain and disease Could you use more tools to activate your joy and keep you on an intentional path
It can be hard enough to process your own feelings and experiences, but some of us have an even heavier emotional load to carry. As an #empath, there was a time I was more receptive to getting physically ill from feeling other people’s pain and emotions. I’ve learned and created some awesome techniques that have helped protect my energy and keep my mind-body practice in alignment. I’d love to share these resources with you and practice #HealingThroughMovement. Lets gather all the wise women we know and shower each other with the healing balm of love, sisterhood and ancient wisdom ✨🔮🙌🏾 #SheHealHer
