Found this image explaining the difference between coconut oil and MCT oil. In basic terms, MCT oil is extracting the triglycerides from coconut oil specifically to help you burn fat. While you can use coconut oil in Bulletproof, MCT oil will help you accomplish ketosis faster. The only reason I was using coconut oil in the past was because of cost and the fact that I already had coconut oil. Most MCT oils retail for at least $30 so finding this big bottle for under $14 was a no brainer! Bonus, MCT oil won’t harden like coconut oils does!

Oven-Baked Chicken Fajita Bowls 😋🌱
Makes about 6 servings 
Ingredients: 
2 lbs chicken breasts skinless, boneless, cut into thin strips 
6 bell peppers red, yellow, green, cut into strips 
1 large onion, sliced 
1 tsp sea salt 
1/2 tsp fresh ground black pepepr 
1 Tbsp ground cumin seed 
1 tsp garlic powder 
1 Tbsp smoked paprika 
2 Tbsps avocado oil, or olive oil 
3 cups cooked brown rice

Optional toppings: 
lime wedges 
fresh cilantro chopped 
avocado slices 
shredded cheese

Instructions: 
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees f. 
Place peppers, onions and chicken on a large, flat, rimmed baking sheet. Sprinkle cumin, garlic, paprika, salt and pepper on top and drizzle with olive oil. 
Using tongs or your hands, toss well all ingredients on the pan to coat evenly.
Distribute ingredients evenly on baking sheet for even cooking. 
Bake for about 15 minutes, or until veggies soften and chicken is cooked through. 
Remove from oven and squeeze optional fresh lime on top. Serve over brown rice with your favorite toppings and enjoy! 
Keep refrigerated in air tight containers for 3-4 days, adding optional toppings right before serving.
I add a 1/2 cup of cooked brown rice to each meal prep container.

White sauce was Colman’s cheddar cheese sauce mix (8 syns for the packet) made up with 300ml semi skimmed milk 🥣

Stacked together with dried lasagne sheets and topped with 60g cheddar 🧀

Serves 4 - so works out as 2 syns each, if you use the small amount of milk and cheese as two halves of HEA ☺️

I cook the sames things over and over.
Luckily I love it but I wanted to expand.

I've had a case of intimidation in the kitchen and a case of perfectionism that kept me from exploring. 
But My sister made some delicious dal some months ago and she said it was easy. I craved it and she sent me the recipe. 
It was so good.

She gave me another recipe and i finally got ingredients last week. I watched youtube videos for best ways to chop, slice and peel.
I prefer visual instructions rather then reading recipes.

So i made my first spicy mung bean dish and it was so delicious. 
That night I decided to also register for an online course called
Food is Medicine
with a beautiful sister @centehua.sage

Food healthy for the body with the connection that food choices also impacts the health of the planet.

I've had the most fun cooking these past few days since i first cooked for my mom.

I made my first anti-imflammatory root bisque soup. 
Joining the online course is also joining with others in commumity online hearing everyones stories and seeing posts so inspiring.

INGREDIENTS

1 Large Head Broccoli chopped into florets

2 Large Eggs

1 Tbsp Milk

1/2 Cup Almond Flour

1/2 Cup Grated Parmesan Cheese

1/4 Cup Grated Cheddar Cheese

1/2 Tsp Garlic Powder

1/4 Tsp Salt

INSTRUCTIONS

In a bowl, whisk together the egg and milk and set aside. In another bowl, stir together the almond flour, parmesan cheese, garlic powder, and salt.

Preheat oven to 400 F and prepare a sheet pan with tin foil or parchment paper.

Dip a floret in the egg mixture and then the almond flour mixture until completely coated.

Place on the sheet pan and repeat until you used all the florets. Sprinkle with cheddar cheese. Bake for 10-15 minutes

1/2 Cup Almond Flour

1/2 Cup Grated Parmesan Cheese

1/4 Cup Grated Cheddar Cheese

1/2 Tsp Garlic Powder

1/4 Tsp Salt

INSTRUCTIONS

In a bowl, whisk together the egg and milk and set aside. In another bowl, stir together the almond flour, parmesan cheese, garlic powder, and salt.

Preheat oven to 400 F and prepare a sheet pan with tin foil or parchment paper.

Dip a floret in the egg mixture and then the almond flour mixture until completely coated.

I started Skinny Hangover as a desperate attempt to whip myself into shape as I got ready for my wedding. I wanted to feel good & look good for my man, duh. I started @f_factor and followed a workout plan and got where I wanted to be. I felt confident, happy & proud on 9/22. I’m so thankful for my wedding giving me the push of motivation I needed to get into better shape and become a healthier human.

If you’re a bride prepping for your big day, here’s a few things I did leading up that helped me👇🏼
•
+Gallon of water per day no excuses.
+Step 1 of @f_factor with veggies at 2 meals minimum (more “whole” foods).
+Extra mini arm workouts at the end of each workout. I did @melissawoodhealth arm series!
+Don’t wear makeup the month before unless you have to. Let your skin breathe.
+Know that your day will be perfect no matter what you look like. Seriously.

There are 100 days left in 2019.

At the beginning of 2019 I made a goal to make 52 new recipes this year. 265 days in and I’m only up to 21. That means to reach my goal I would have to make 2.17 new recipes per week. Is it attainable? Sure. Will I make it? We will see.

I could be discouraged that I am so far behind on my goal, or reframe the situation, which is what I have done. If I hadn’t set this goal for myself I wouldn’t have tried 21 new recipes this year, including these popcorn broccoli bites I made last night. I wouldn’t have found *some* enjoyment in cooking. I wouldn’t have started baking again. So yes, I may come short of my goal (I also may not) but by just even setting that goal I have accomplished more than if no goal was set.
