✌🏼2 sets of warm up lat pulldowns (not taken to failure just to engage your lats)
🍣4x12 lat pulldowns
🍣4x10 rack pulls
🍣3x10 landmine rows
🍣3x12 pause seated cable rows/drop last to complete failure
🍣2x 15,10 cable straight arm pull downs
🍣4x10-12 seated bicep curls
🍣3x12 hammer curls
(!!!) If your traps or forearms take over any movement it’s likely you’re going too heavy. During every-movement really focus on the contraction of the muscle you’re utilising, I often find slowing down the entire set can really help with this.

Super proud of Ava also for doing this whole colouring competition herself! Usually she starts off really well and then gets bored and gives up half way through haha! She did such a great job and was really getting into her patterns!

Meals are prepped for the week 👏 which makes it so easy in the mornings and on my bank account!💲 I used to avoid meal prepping because it looked so overwhelming and I told myself I could never do that because I wasn't one of "those" people 🤦 but I noticed everyone that was where I wanted to be health wise meal prepped every week. I finally got the hint 🤨 that I needed to learn how to do this if I wanted something different in my life. Here I am today, not going a week without meal prepping and now my kids do it too! 👊

Everyday I write down what I am grateful for and everyday this guy is on that list! He is an amazing husband, partner, dad, son, and friend. He is talented, creative, and loves to enjoy the simple things in life (like a cozy outdoor fire). He continues to build and improve our home, always making it look better and better. And he even built this tiny house for us at the lake! ❤️

It’s that time again!
@kevpaul12 and I tag teamed meal prep again this week, so it took less time than usual, which is always nice!
And I wanted to share how we did it.
First, we prepped the meats. (chicken thighs, chicken drumsticks and ground turkey)
Second, I prepped all the veggies! (Potatoes, broccoli, asparagus, carrots, brussel sprouts, and green beans)
Third, I threw the chicken drumsticks, green beans, brussel sprouts, broccoli, asparagus and carrots in the oven.
Fourth, I sautéed the ground turkey.
Fifth, Kevin put the chicken, and potatoes on the BBQ.
Sixth, I made my egg whites for the week so I wouldn’t have to do it each day.
Seventh, I cut up the fruit!
I cleaned the kitchen while everything was cooking, and when it was all done, I put it in containers.
And now, we are all prepared for the week!
For breakfasts I take oatmeal, and the prepped egg whites.
And for dinners I usually do a salad, and it’s simple to throw together each night!
And there you have it, simple and quick meal prep!

I had the most amazing day at the @royal.easter.show.nz yesterday with my partner and his kids. An awesome festive atmosphere, lots of yummy food and I pushed myself out of my comfort zone making memories for life!
Life is way too short to let your fear hold you hostage. But I can safely say I’ve ticked the Turbo Boost ride off my bucket list (with no intention of doing it again lol!).

Yesterday I went sub 21 minutes at Worthing Parkrun, with a time of 20.59 👌🏻
I hadn’t done any training in the week, and I didn’t even do much of a warm up before the run! It just shows that a lot of running is in your mindset and determination on the day! 🏃🏻♂️ #movewithmike
I have not exercised properly in about 7 years. I broke my leg 4 years ago and my injury prevented me from doing anything for two years and then it just became an excuse. I do have dogs and took my dogs for walks or for an occasional hike, but this was the extent of my “exercise regime.” I joined ymca few weeks ago and started attending different classes. I am still determining which classes I like and have been just taking the time to get to know the instructors and the exercise routines. I love cycling classes so far. My diet has been a mixture of healthy healthy and unhealthy food over the last few weeks and I am still struggling from resisting grabbing a candy bar or something unhealthy like sugary drinks. I was embarrassed at first about how out of shape I am and thought about quitting. Then, I saw on Instagram how others post their weight-loss or “getting in shape” journeys and discuss their successes and failures.
I decided to start and an “Awesome Me” Instagram diary and document my progress over the course of one year. When we are stressed and tired, or find ourselves in social situations with food we wouldn’t usually consume, it’s easy to fall off track.. 🍩
If you’re truly in tune with your body, you can FEEL when you have an overload of energy waiting to be burned off! 🍔
It’s not punishing yourself, because hey we all do it sometimes and it’s important not to be too restrictive, but one healthy habit I like to follow is..
PUT THE EXCESS ENERGY TOWARDS AN EXTRA HARD WORKOUT 🏋️♀️
Your figure comes down to mostly what you consume, so although working out on a sh** diet isn’t going to completely counteract it, I love pushing my body by lifting heavier weights than usual, or blasting out all of my energy and stress by going for a challenging hike in the weekend 🌲
If you slip up, it’s OKAY! Just start again fresh the next day 🍲
All you have to do is one small thing in pursuit of your goals each day, and you will already be ahead of the game. Baby steps will soon turn into sprints. You got this. 👊

Talking about Gain WEIGHT... Apparently most Pregnant Women GAIN between 22lbs- 26lbs (10kg-12.5kg). Really! 🤔
I don't know about you ladies BUT I gained soooo much WEIGHT!! 25kg 🙄
I'm NOT going to lie. I did eat... A LOT!!! Like FOOD was going out of fashion🙈
BUT I did LOSE all the weight eventually.
I actually weigh LESS now than pre pregnancy.
And most importantly I am NOW feeling comfortable in my own skin.
I have made PEACE with FOOD & with MYSELF. 🤗

I remember this time last year I wasn’t nearly as comfortable in my own skin as I am now. 🌿🌿🌿 I used to worry about how others viewed me, if I should wear something or not because I wasn’t sure if people would think I was just a fat girl trying to wear “skinny girl clothes” - whatever that means. And while I’m still insecure at times about my body and frustrated with parts of my body that I wish were different, I’ve learned to use that as motivation.
The world of eating plant based has taught me so much about what I put into my body, but one thing I’ve never really talked about is how it also made me more interested in fitness. I suddenly started to piece together the correlation between: clean eating + working out = feeling really fucking good (physically and mentally). All self image is, is just that, how you view yourself. And when you aren’t taking care of your body and not giving it all of the love and respect it deserves, it shows in your self esteem.
Where on the other hand, when you feed it yummy nutritious (occasionally some not so healthy) foods along with building it up and making it stronger by working out, automatically your self esteem shoots up because you are loving and caring for your body the way it deserves!
I always felt like I loved myself, but now I’m realizing that loving yourself isn’t just a mindset, it’s an action - a lifestyle. Love yourself enough to push yourself to be a healthier, stronger, and happier person every. single. day.
Remind yourself that you are worth all of that hard work and dedication that it takes to live a positive lifestyle. If you put all of your effort into enhancing yourself and always working to better yourself, you’ll never be disappointed because every small step you take is a step in the right direction.
I love my body now and even on my dark days when I’m doubting my self worth, I remember how much love and care I put into my body/soul and know that I’m doing the best I can and I’m capable of anything!
Pat yourself on the back every now and then and keep fighting to be the best version of you☀️
