The last several nights have been tough. With this weather system heading our way and now working it’s way through, my head feels tight and sore across the middle of my forehead and across my nose and cheeks. Especially at nights. Why is nighttime worse? 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

When you do this, is it an upward comparison? (as in someone you admire or that you think is better than you at something?!)⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I am definitely guilty of this. I have been filled with disgust, shame and guilt about myself around a host of different issues. On more than one occasion 😔⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

And it hurt. It hurt to see myself as less than someone else. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

This sweet gal came in suffering from joint pain, Inflammation, due to Lupus, she had neck, shoulder, hamstring, calf pain and tightness, and Plantar Fasciitis. We had her feeling better when she left, she was able to relax and sleep through the night and the following day she felt great and had less tightness. When you’re in a bad mood, what’s the one thing that snaps you out of it no matter what?⁣

Like what makes you feel amazing on a not so great day?! ⁣
Thankfully, one of the key things I learned during my Health Coach education is how to fuel myself and refresh my outlook through primary food or things like- ⁣
Relationships⁣
Work⁣
Exercise⁣
Spiritual practices ⁣
⁣
These are things that fill me up in ways food can’t.⁣
⁣
Today, I want to share my top fav ways to turn a negative MOOD into a positive mood and instantly feel RE-ENERGIZED and inspired. :) ⁣
⁣
1️⃣ Work out.⁣
Physical movement is high on my list. When I’m feeling a little down, I love to hit the gym, do some lifting, crank up the tunes and dance it out in my kitchen, or zen out with yoga.⁣
⁣
2️⃣ Take it outside.⁣
Going for a long walk in my neighborhood or taking the dog/baby for a stroll or hike are some of my favorite ways to breathe in fresh air and connect with nature. ⁣
⁣
3️⃣Have more fun.⁣
We tend to miss out on this one alot. Fun and laughter are great medicine for low moods. Laughing with a friend, watching a funny movie, playing a game, fooling around with the kids, and even singing are ways I cheer myself up. Surrounding myself with family and talking to a good friend really help to!⁣
⁣
4️⃣Connect spiritually.⁣
I reconnect and recharge through meditation, journaling and breathing deeply, just reminding myself that difficult moments will pass. ⁣
⁣
5️⃣Get nourishment with energizing food.⁣
A warm cup of tea, healthy meal, a smoothie or some raw dark chocolate can lift my mood in minutes.⁣
⁣
This past week was a lot for me- soo many changes, so many choices and unknowns, some closed doors and mostly new beginnings. ⁣

A reminder to all new mums, we all struggle, feel vulnerable and "not really ok" no matter how privileged we are. I've been feeling low and somewhat depressed despite everything looking ideal on the outside. I have an amazing and healthy one year old son, a super supportive and hands on partner, my mum helping with childcare whilst I am at work, we have enough money to keep warm and eat well....yet I struggle to feel happy sometimes. I'm physically and mentally exhausted. I don't sleep more than 2-3 consecutive hours, I barely get time to myself and if I do I feel guilty about not spending time with my son or sorting out house things or work. Then there's the guilt about my mothering. Am I a good enough mum if I feel so low? Have we spend enough time outdoors and if we did, was it in nature or have we breathed too much air pollution in the city? Has he napped enough or too much? Has he moved enough or been sitting in a pram or car for long? Has he had enough freshly prepared food or am I just reheating leftovers? And the list goes on...On top of everything, I've been diagnosed with stress related IBS and I still have a prolapse. Just goes to show that more holistic approach to health and wellbeing is needed. It's not just about healthy food. That's just one piece of a complicated puzzle. I am perfectly aware that it's privilege to have these type of struggles but I also want to stop feeling guilty about not feeling ok. Mamahood is fricking hard. Mamas need support. It takes a village to raise a child. We are not meant to be alone in this. So well done Meghan for keeping it real.

Did you know that children don't have the mental ability to understand going back to bed until they are at least 2.5yrs old? 
The ideal time to transition is between 2.5 to 3yrs old. The longer you can leave it the better!

Im Sommer esse ich total gern Gemüsesalate. Sie sind leicht, die Zutaten sind tortzdem gekocht und gut bekömmlich und mit dem richtigen Dressing ist das Ganze auch schön frisch. Feta liebe ich sowieso und frische Kräuter verleihen jedem Gericht den letzten Schliff. 🌱🌸🌱
Und der Salat ist super einfach zubereitet. Die Hirse wird natürlich gekocht und das Gemüse in der Pfanne angebraten. Wenn ich einen Salat mache, dann würze ich nur leicht mit Salz und Pfeffer und brate es in Knoblauch und Zwiebeln an. Das Dressing halte ich zur Zeit auch sehr einfach, aber es schmeckt halt auch gut: Ein schönes Olivenöl, Distelöl, etwas Wasser, meinen selbst gemachten Holunderessig, Salz, Pfeffer, Kräuter: Thymian, Oregano, Rucola, glatte Petersilie, Schnittlauch, Basilikum, Koriander. Alles aus eigener Ernte. 🌱🌸🌱
Den Lachs habe ich mit etwas Salt in der Pfanne angebraten. 🌱🌸🌱

Ich denke, wir alle kennen das: Mit manchen Menschen funktioniert die Kommunikation von Anfang an richtig gut, mit manchen gut und mit anderen funktioniert sie nur bedingt oder überhaupt nicht. Ich hatte das Thema in einem Post schon einmal aufgegriffen und auf die Essenz herunter gebrochen: Um wirklich zu kommunizieren, müssen Seelen sich auf derselben Schwingungsebene treffen. Dann bleiben keine Fragen offen. Um diese Schwingungsebene herum gibt es sehr viele weitere Schichten und je weiter Menschen/Seelen sich von "ist gleich" entfernen oder bereits entfernt sind, desto weniger gut funktioniert die Kommunikation. 🌀⭐️
Dass etwas nicht rund läuft merkt man vor allem, wenn man sich immer und immer wieder erklären muss. Und egal, was man sagt – es wird falsch verstanden oder etwas aus dem Gesagten gemacht, das es nicht ist. Das kann beid- oder einseitig der Fall sein. Menschen und Situationen sind so vielfältig, dass es hier nicht nur den einen Weg gibt. Irgendwann bleibt einem nichts übrig als zu akzeptieren, dass es ist, wie es ist und seine Schlüsse daraus zu ziehen. Je nach Beziehung kann das mehr oder weniger schmerzhaft sein und mehr oder weniger harte Konsequenzen nach sich ziehen. Wichtig ist allerdings, an der Situation nicht mehr "herumzudoktern" und sich selbst nicht mehr daran aufzureiben. Denn wo ständig erklärt werden muss, ist bereits alles gesagt. Weitere Worte werden daran nichts ändern. Außer, die Beziehung der Seelen zueinander ändert sich.⭐️🌀

Vom echten Müll zum Gedankenmüll - Eine schöne Erinnerung, die gerade fast wie aus einem anderen Leben wirkt. Während ich das hier schreibe, liege ich eingemummelt auf der Couch, beobachte einen Eichelhäher beim Fressen und frage mich, wohin ich mit all den Worten und Gedanken soll, die in meinem Kopf kreisen und auf ihre unerreichbaren Adressaten warten. Wer kennt das, wenn man in der Kommunikation mit Menschen einfach nicht weiter kommt, weil das Bewusstsein auf völlig verschiedenen Ebenen liegt? Und egal, wie sehr man sich um richtige Worte bemüht oder wie man handelt – die Kommunikation funktioniert nicht. Wir alle haben unsere Themen. Manche sind alt und sitzen tief, manche sind neu und oberflächlich. Das ist egal, Hauptsache, wir sehen sie an. Was allerdings nicht funktioniert ist, wenn man davon ausgeht, dass nur die anderen ein Problem haben und man selbst doch gar nicht hinsehen oder etwas ändern muss. So entsteht Einseitigkeit.

Pürierte Möhrensuppe mit Ingwer
🥕🥔🌱🥕🥔🌱🥕🥔🌱🥕🥔
Mit dieser Suppe lässt sich auch eine Darmentzündung ganz gut aushalten. Es ist nicht zu viel Ingwer drin, damit sie nicht zu scharf wird, und sie ist leicht verdaulich, weil püriert. Insofern also immer gut für #Reizdarm und #Reizmagen. Der Reis gibt zumindest ein wenig das Gefühl von festem Essen. Heute ist für mich Tag 10 mit Suppe und Brei und kein wirkliches Ende in Sicht. Vielleicht geht morgen mal wieder gedünstetes Gemüse. 🥕
👉🏼Zutaten für einen Suppentopf
Etwa 10 normalgroße Möhren
3 kleine Kartoffeln
1 mittelgroße Zucchini
1 rote Paprika
1/2 orange Paprika
1 dickes Stück Ingwer, etwa 2cm lang
1/2 Tomate
Ein guter Schuss passierte Tomaten
1 EL Tomatenmark
1 Zwiebel
2-3 Knoblauchzehen
1/2 Dose Mais
Gewürze
🥔
👉🏼Zubereitung
Zwiebeln, Knoblauch und Ingwer klein schneiden und in den Topf geben. Gleich auch das klein geschnittene Gemüse dazu, einen guten Schuss Rapsöl darüber geben und erstmal kurz bei höchster Hitze schmoren. Nach etwa 1 Minute Platte auf 5/6 stellen, Gemüse mischen und würzen: Salz, Pfeffer, gemahlener Koriander, Cumin, ein knapper TL Café de Paris, viel Kurkuma (ich habe gemahlenes genommen, zusätzlich kann natürlich auch frisches rein). Etwa 5 Minuten schmoren lassen und gelgentlich umrühren. Währenddessen die tomatigen Zutaten dazugeben.
Dann mit Wasser auffüllen, so dass das Gemüse bedeckt ist und den Herd wieder ganz heiß stellen. Wenn die Suppe kocht auf 3 stellen und 15 bis 20 Minuten köcheln lassen. 
Am Ende mit dem Pürierstab pürieren und erst dann habe ich den Mais dazu gegeben. Bei Bedarf nachwürzen. 🌱
Wer Basmatireis als Beilage möchte muss diesen natürlich zwischendurch kochen. 🥕
Garniert habe ich das Ganze mit Mungobohnenkeimlingen, frischer Ruccola, Basikilum und Koriander. Alles Eigenzucht und -anbau.

Johannisbeer-Streuselkuchen, glutenfrei und fast vegan 😊

Ich habe das Rezept abgeändert und bei @kathyskitchenandstyling gefunden, die es wiederum von @emmikochteinfach übernommen hat. Der Kuchen geht super schnell, easy und ist echt lecker!!! Die sauren Johannisbeeren, die ich statt Rhabarber genommen habe, geben einen tollen kontrast zum süßen Teig. 🍰 
Zutaten
etwa 400g Johannisbeeren, gewaschen und entstielt
260 glutenfreies Mehl
40g Kokosmehl
105 g Kokosöl (zimmertemperatur, weich)
25g Butter
150g brauner Rohrohrzucker
1EL Ahornsirup
🍰
Den Backofen auf 180°C Ober- und Unterhitze vorheizen. Eine Springform mit 20cm Durchmesser bereit legen.

Mehle, Kokosöl, Butter und Zucker mit dem Quirl verquirlen/kneten. Der Teig ist sehr bröselig, also ruhig nochmal mit der Hand kneten. 
Die Springform fetten und etwa 2/3 des Teigs auf dem Boden andrücken, etwas Rand nach oben ziehen. Ich würde sagen, mein Boden war etwa 3mm dick. Das Ahornsirup unter die Johannisbeeren mischen und sie auf dem Teig verteilen. Den Rest des Teigs als Streusel streuseln. Ab in den Ofen damit und 40 MInuten backen. 🍰
