calcium is but 1 of the many minerals your body needs for building strong bones. Dietary intake of magnesium, not necessarily calcium, may be the key to developing healthy bones during childhood, according to new research presented at the Pediatric Academic Societies (PAS).
The new data from Professor Steven Abrams and his colleagues at the Baylor College of Medicine finds that intake and absorption of magnesium during childhood are key predictors of total bone mineral content & bone density – while dietary calcium intake was not significantly associated with such measures.
“Dietary magnesium intake may be an important, relatively unrecognised, factor in bone mineral accretion in children,” “Lots of nutrients are key for children to have healthy bones. One of these appears to be magnesium,” said Abrams. 
The best sources of magnesium will always be food. 
Magnesium deficiency can lead to a whole host of symptoms including calcium deficiency, poor heart health, muscle cramps, tremors, nausea, high blood pressure, respiratory illness, & confusion. 
The following health benefits have been associated with magnesium.
* Bone health. Magnesium is important for bone formation. * Calcium absorption. Calcium & magnesium are important for maintaining bone health & preventing osteoporosis. * Diabetes. * Heart health. * Migraine headaches. * Premenstrual syndrome. * Relieving anxiety.
Foods high in Magnesium include:
1. dark chocolate 
2. Avocado 🥑 
3. Nuts 🥜 Types of nuts include almonds, cashews & Brazil nuts.

Este fin de semana ha sido como esos días intensos que se viven pocas veces en la vida. Fui a un evento totalmente nuevo para mi, sin ninguna expectativa. . See a lot of people nowadays are so focused on the latest fitness trend that will optimize performance but breathing should be addressed first. I must say, including me, we all have dysfunctional breathing patterns. The breath is a very powerful tool to access your inner strength. It allows you to quickly intercept subconscious thoughts that lead to anxiety and depression. Proper breathing gives us the capacity to heal emotionally and physically. It goes far beyond the exchange of O2 and CO2.⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣

3️⃣ HYDRATION⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣
Self-explanatory but not everyone does it well. Our bodies are 70% water. We came from our mother's womb which is mostly water. We are biologically wired to have a harmonious relationship with water. The science literature backs this up. When you drink adequate amounts of water, it leads to more energy, improved digestion and better mental clarity to name a few. It's a simple habit but very uncommon practice.⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣
4️⃣ NUTRITION⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣
Food plays a more important role than fitness. Yes you read that right. It impacts our physiology far greater than exercise. We engage with food more than exercise. The food we eat is information not just energy. The food we eat affects our mood, different body systems and how we function generally as human beings.⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣
5️⃣ MOVEMENT⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣
The only reason why it ranks 5th is because a person cannot survive 5 minutes without breath and weeks without food. But a person can survive months without exercise. Movement though is essential to our wellness both in mind and body. It allows blood to flow, gives us strength and range of motion if done properly.

Dry brushing and #epsomsalt baths once a week are not only great for self care but also stimulates your lymphatic system and helps it drain.

Using a natural dry bristle shower brush on dry skin. Lightly scrub little circles on your skin from limbs inward towards the heart (as you do it more you can scrub with more pressure). Scrub the neck down to the collar bones. Scrub the back, chest, and abdomen in any direction. 
After dry brushing, take a bath that is hot enough to sweat for about 20 minutes. To begin with use 2 cups of Epsom salt, and 1 cup of baking soda. As you continue doing this, you can add more salt and baking soda – up to 1 pound of Epsom salt. At the end of the bath, shower off in refreshing (not freezing) tepid water.

I drink coffee just about everyday, like most people. Something to be aware of is the creamer that you put in your coffee. Usually, I don’t worry too much about the kind of creamer but more about HOW MUCH creamer.
