Absolutely loved the new Halloween.

To all the cast and crew on this film, as a lifelong Halloween fan...thank you from the bottom of my heart. Truly incredible work ❤
Oh my God guys....like holy shit, what a film! Michael is back and even more brutal than he was in Carpenter's original film. His sheer brutality in this film was perfect and gave us fans not only some of the best death scenes in the franchise...but the Michael Myers we had been longing for since 1978.
Cast was brilliant, all clicked very well on screen. Was amazing seeing Jamie Lee Curtis return to her iconic role as Laurie Strode. Andi Matichak was particularly good as well, I think she's gonna go on to do well in her career. The story was simple but well written and it worked well. Fantastic comedic parts in there as well! I won't spoil it but there was one small twist that I really didn't like. But consider it a small hiccup in an otherwise flawless film.
There is a lot of homages and nods to previous Halloween films throughout the entire movie so keep an eye out.
The score...my God the score! Utterly fantastic work from Carpenter and his sons.
I can't really say much else about it without ruining it so I'm shutting up now. 🎃
THIS is the sequel we had been wanting and hoping for. It is easily as good as the original and follows up nicely.
What a film! Now get your ass down the cinema to see it ASAP!

Halloween (2018) Mini-Review:
Michael Myers returns to Haddonfield after forty years of incarceration at Smith’s Grove Psychiatric Institution. Meanwhile Laurie Strode, who has prepped for Michael’s escape, begins her life’s journey to end the Boogey Man once and for all.
I liked this film, I didn’t love it but I liked it. It suffers from the same problems that the sequels always do - they can’t replicate John Carpenter.
There were some unnecessary characters, questionable dialogue, some humor that didn’t work, dumb motivations but all that aside Michael was the true star of this film, as he should be.
There’s no Zombie-esque, Thorn Trilogy horrible reasons behind his motivations, instead he’s left a blank slate who hasn’t spoken a word at all, in the forty-plus years since the “Babysitter Killings” as they (a character in the film) puts it.
Michael kills, kills and kills and this is what I loved about it.
Jamie Lee was awesome in her depiction of a broken woman ravaged by the horrible things done to her and her friends all those years ago.
I won’t get too much into this movie and ruin it but all in all I found Halloween to be what a Halloween film should be. If you love slashers and your Halloween then you’re gonna dig this one.

#horrortwinshalloweenchallenge2018 day 7 - beautiful mindfuck
Not many films mess with my head and Donnie Darko is one of the few and it is just so mesmerizing that it sucks you down the rabbit hole and you don't care where you go
#horrortwinshalloweenchallenge2018 day 6 - deadly but loveable
He may not be deadly himself but his demonic offspring are if you break the rules. Plus who doesn't love gizmo
We just got back from watching my most anticipated movie of the year — the new Halloween. Oh MAN. So much to digest, but overall (and nitpicks aside) I absolutely loved it. Who else has seen it, and what did you think 🎃 Also! The shirt I’m wearing was a random find in a Hamilton antique store! I picked it up along with a handful of old horror mags (pics to follow!) — you just never know what you’re going to stumble upon!
Saw the new #Halloween movie with my other horror half @sir_voorhees & it was fucking amazing !!!
If anyone has an issue with this movie feel free to meet me outside 😂😂
The only complaint I’ve really seen is that some people think it was too fast paced.. but if it wasn’t they would complain it was too slow so ya can’t please em all.
The actors did amazing, loved all of the family and of course the queen Jamie Lee Curtis was fantastic.
What did you all think about the night he came home, 40 years later ! 🎃🔪
