Exploring this beautiful place! When you’re doing a clinic at a new place it’s actually nice to arrive the day before 👍🏼 new environments can be stressful for your horse so giving them a little time to settle before you expect something from them is a great way to set it up for succes! We were able to explore the arena and hang out until she was relaxt and happy to be here ☺️ feeling a little bit more prepared for the clinic now... #exploring #hangingout #beautifulplace #aquilafarm #beauvechain #clinic #relaxed

Bentley is bathed and has his pjs on . We have showmanship tomorrow morning 🤗
This is the moment.
We will all have this moment in our lives.
It will take as many forms as water chooses a path.
But in that moment, you will decide who you want to be.
A simple greeting with a horse can be just that; simple, or it can be a quiet moment between respective giants.
At the end of a day that casts long light across the withers, be open to the knock of opportunity.
The path you never saw Water did. Be open. Be fluid.

You can speak something into existence all you want, but if it's not apart of God's plan, it's not going to happen.
Girls did great today.
Did barrels with misty for the first time in forever. Looks horrible but I guess that's what slow works for lol. Not that I expected much on this tiny pattern and choppy ground.
Did a lot of desensitizing with Lena. Walking over a tarp and sacking out. She was a bit spooky with the bags at first but gave it maybe 15 minutes just getting her used to it moving all around her and when she seemed calm enough tied it on and she was lunging with it perfect. She's definitely not "bomb proof" but she's very sane:) just needs exposure.
*STILL AVAILABLE* only 650!
What a week! Today, athletes wrapped up their five-day @lmcharitablefund/USHJA Emerging Athletes Program Regional Training Session at @greatswequestriancenter in Katy, Texas. Riders walked away with new skills in the saddle and in the barn excited to apply what they learned with clinicians Julie Winkel and Nanci Snyder as they continue to grow as horsemen and horsewomen. Special thanks to everyone who made the week possible and the many supporters of sport education! 📸: Megan Lacy/USHJA #EAP2018 #horsemanship #sporteducation

I need to get some new pics of this pretty girl, but she is off to a great start! My first encounter with a this mare was when they first came in in February and we were just grabbing any mare we could to do an ultrasound and find out who was pregnant.
So I go out to the pasture and she’s standing there eating at the round bale. She lets me walk up and pet her face, clip the lead rope on, I start to walk away annddd..... she throws her head straight up, starts flying backwards down a hill, rears, pulls the lead out of my hand, flips herself over, jumps up, and runs off into the dark 👌🏼
Thankfully she has since decided people and leadropes are actually NOT from hell and usually they are accompanied by yummy treats.
Her first day we just worked on treat manners and standing quietly. She spent a while trying to figure out what it was I wanted, but eventually calmed down and figured out standing quietly was what I wanted. But that intensity will definitely be beneficial later!
The second day I worked on having her stand quietly while I walked around her and groomed her at Liberty. I wanted to be able to click and still have her just stand and wait, which she picked up very quickly and was perfect!
We also worked on targeting and lunging.
I’ve decided to teach her to lunge using -R, but I’ll get into the why and how another day.
I won’t be able to work with her until Monday but I can’t wait!
Taking some #glamour shots today after lunging. I really just wanted to eat the camera.
