Laura Badke Pottery
By profession I’m a graphic designer but I’ve found my true passion.
I always have had a love for pottery. For years I used to collect it and one day I decided to try my hand at it. Low and behold I truly love it. It has become my passion and my sanctuary.
I have been creating pottery now for about 6 years. I throw on the wheel as well as create hand built pieces. All my pieces are made from stoneware clay. I love glazing because each piece comes out different which makes the creative process exciting for me.
I hope you enjoy my work as much as I enjoy making it.

Artist Spotlight!! Nicole Franz. The amazing collage artist we are obsessed with! "I create mixed media art with paint, ink, and recycled materials. My art is my outlet. I never know what my pieces are going to look like until they are complete. I love that about my work. Women are my inspiration. They are complex, strong, emotional, and beautiful. I try to capture this in my art. Working in New York City's fashion and hip-hop music industry has helped me fine tune my eye for glamour, color, detail, texture and design. Teaching art has enriched my skills as a fine artist. My portraits are the joining of these art worlds. They are constantly changing, morphing, and taking on a personality of their own. When I am working on them, the world around me shuts down. The work consumes me.
The process is therapeutic." -Nicole Franz @nicolefranzart Fb - Nicole Franz Art and nicolefranz.com. #huntingtonvillageartwalk #huntingtonartwalk #longislandartist #collageartist #supportlocalart #lovewhatyoudo #dighomusemarket #ghomusemarket
Angela Carillo decided to take her career in chemistry in a new direction after the kids left home. Through a journey that led her from library research, to classes, conferences, and communities of other soap makers, Alegna Soap began as a business in 2010. Her products are now in local bed & breakfasts, specialty shops and available online. All products are made in small batches with organic oils and butters and scented with natural plant essential oils. Peppermint Scrub soap is the best seller, followed closely by my personal favorite, Lavender Lemongrass soap.
