Let’s talk about the IMPORTANCE of a solid support system. ✨💘
I was talking with my mom yesterday about how hard it is to accomplish a goal when everyone around you is not supportive of your goals. Now this doesn’t necessarily mean they don’t WANT you to accomplish your goals, but this means they don’t RESPECT your goals. For example, if you have friends or family that is constantly saying things like “screw your macros come out with me” or “who needs the gym let’s do this instead.” Those people don’t UNDERSTAND how hard you work. That doesn’t mean they have to leave your life AT ALL. Every person in your life is so so important and play a vital role in who you are.
BUT. You need to have a support system of people who DO get it. Who hype you up when you reach a new level. Who support you when you’re lacking motivation. You NEED that group of people.
I am BLESSED that I have a huge network of people who love and support my journey. And I’m even LUCKIER that my network extends across borders. This app has brought me some of the most amazing friends and supporters and for that I’ll be forever thankful. 😭💘

All the top athletes and competitors have coaches either in or out the gym!! Yeah sure you can push yourself hard alone if you live for this shit! However, if you want to take your physique and gainz to the next level you need someone there guiding you and pushing your body past its limit!! A lot of guys and girls that look good for example train hard...not taking anything away from them. But I can guarantee that training with me will humble you down! Here in my corner I don’t give a fuck how much you lift or your fancy dads and traditional compound movements. I have perfected a wide variety of techniques throughout the 16 years of training that will stimulate and activate muscle fibres that you didn’t know you had!! Here’s s video clip of @sierraashleymilan doing one of my favourite hack squat machines and I have her keeping the tension under the muscle at all times! Which is extremely difficult. Yeah I’m sure she can rep out 4 plates a side with ease.....but this way is a lot more gruelling pain and we all no one thing! “No pain no gain”. I take ppl out their comfort zones!!! I also have her stopping at 3/4 the way up!! All you ladies or guys that go all the way up and emphasize the “glute squeeZe” at the top are all cheating suckers!!! As soon as you relieve the tension , the exercise is over I’m sorry!! Same thing goes for squatting !!! That’s another topic for another post! FYI squats are overrated and generally done wrong!!! For the first time in a looooong time, I actually really enjoyed training. I was psyched to be in the gym for myself and to get stuck in. Physically, mentally... everything seemed to click into place today 😊
The new equipment definitely made me smile. As soon as I saw the bumper plates I couldn't resist, and may have got carried away just slightly with the power cleans; 10x3 instead of 5x3, and with some singles to finish 😅🤷♀
I also reintroduced overhead press back into the programme (yesssss) and finished off with some SL leg press and antirotation work on the cables - making full use of the new kit! 😉😍
Honestly, cannot say enough how much better I feel after this session. I've been struggling massively for the last 6 months with training, and now it feels as if everything has reset to how it was 8 months ago.
Training is the one thing that I can always push through, no matter what, I will keep going. Push through that sticking point, keep working and don’t give up. So today’s session I was really proud that I could jump back in and despite 6 months off - I could still push through and not buckle 🤙
So bring on the next few months, the time off has been good but now I'm back! & ready to see just how far I can go over the next 4 months 👊
