**LONG POST ALERT**
It has been a few years now , that every year on my birthday I make it a point to be as far as possible from city scape.
This ritual started not to make a big deal out of turning old, but to just escape the regular cake cutting and the dinner/drinking parties.
This year also, I wanted to go to some place outside Bangalore. So, I thought of Srilanka and then almost finalised Cambodia.
But since the saying “Life is what happens when you are busy making other plans” is literally based on my everyday life. I couldn’t go to either places.
So, just 2 nights before turning 29 I was having legit anxiety/panic attacks of being in the city.
And hence I did the most spontaneous thing ever, booked bus and hostel tickets in 5 mins for Kotagiri , packed in 5 mins and left home.
I am grateful that it was the best decision ever.
Cause I turned old waking upto tea gardens right in front of me, read the whole 2 days I was there. Slept to my heart’s content. Woke up to see beautiful sunrise and prettiest dancing clouds, went to probably the most aesthetically pleasing cafes I have been to , ate a lot , and came back😎
The hostel @thedoortonirvana was the bestest place to just unwind and chill and the host is the sweetest company to have around you!
The months I have been having lately, this was a much needed peaceful break and it reminded me why I need to get out more and escape the concrete jungle!❤️ .
Oh! And did I mention that I fell on my chin and almost broke it and bruised my knee while chasing crossing a small stream and almost fell in the waterfall 😂
. *swipe the pics to see the tea gardens, and the dancing clouds and me chilling and just some pretty doors!* .
PS: I really wish I could skip being 29 and just turn 30 instead, 29 feels like a weird number.

It’s amazing that a piano that is exposed to the elements on a regular basis is actually playable and in tune. I decided to tickle the ivories (now painted in bright colors) of this instrument, one of several at the Riverfront Park, and was pleasantly surprised! #piano #music #park #impromptu #streetperformance #spokane #washington #colorful #play
