Thinking of starting a co-hosted podcast
My first podcast was a co-hosted show in 2008, which Keith Keller and I produced for two years.
It was a steep learning, considering many people didn’t even know what a #podcast was, and there were no resources to turn to.
However, since that time (and another co-hosted podcast under my belt) I’ve learned a lot about what it takes to ensure a co-hosted podcast works for BOTH hosts.
Especially if each host has their own business separate from the jointly-produced podcast.
So if you’re thinking about starting a co-hosted podcast be mindful you consider these things FIRST so you can get the best results from all of your hard work: - Your Brand Voice, unique message and overall experience you want to create, as you bring both of your expertise, voices, styles and mannerisms to the conversation; - Get clear on the show's Core Values as these may be slightly different from your own, yet must still be in alignment with your own; - And, most importantly, confirm your ideal client is similar and map out your Podcast Profit Pipeline to ensure a streamlined journey for your listener as you engage, educate and entice them from your podcast to your list.
This will ensure you both receive equal share in the visibility and ultimately leads and enquiries being generated.

Because journaling has become a great tool for myself to focus on the good, staying creative in my business , and finding motivation when feeling discouraged. I encourage you to journal and write down your feelings if speaking your thoughts is more difficult. •
I’m not always the most confident person.
I battle my own demons on the regular.
I’m here to lead with intention and give light.
The most important thing that I have learned through out the years:
If you are not helping others ... then what is the point
If you are an influencer... be the voice for others that still have a dimmer light over their head.
Lead even if it makes you tremble.
Know that staying true to yourself brings you clarity.

F O UR months 🗯
Isn’t it wild to think so much can happen in just 4️⃣ months, how about 1️⃣ month, how about 2️⃣ weeks
I had an eating disorder for six years, about six months into my recovery I found out I was pregnant, (still recovering from my ED) + witnessing my body change drastically, gaining weight in all areas of my body (not having ANY control) ✖️
After giving birth...my husband had to go away for work for almost three months + that’s when shit got hard (excuse my language.)
Anxiety hit everyday at 4pm
Gained more weight
I truly LOST A PIECE OF MYSELF + couldn’t even recognize myself when I looked in the mirror ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Eating healthy & incorporating exercise into my daily routine was step A!
Step B was finding something to keep me accountable (thank you to our group support chat ✨)
+ step C was & STILL IS working on myself, loving myself, fueling my mind with positivity, working through the bad days, acknowledging how strong I am 👈🏻
Don’t stop. Don’t give up. ACKNOWLEDGE what’s going on in your life + RUN WITH IT. You can get back on top if you CHOOSE to do so.

I always ask people what their goals are for therapy and more than half of them will reply with, "I want to stop being so impulsive". So many people that I work with are constantly used to being in some kind of fight. Fighting to be heard, fighting for respect, fighting to make a better life for themselves, there always some sort of active fight. And when you're in a state of active fighting your brain is often flooded. Flooding leads to poor impulse control, decision-making abilities and concentration impairment. Learning to regulate your emotions using therapy as a treatment approach will help you to feel a lot more in control of your behavior. One critical skill that you can practice right now Breathing, learn to take deep breaths in through your nose out through your mouth. When you're in moments of distress, always ask yourself where is my breath
