Backs breaking 😩
But the garden is all but finished, finally!
Dug over, topsoiled and reseeded.
Praying to the grass gods for a luscious green garden by next spring.
Catching up on X Factor while Sunday lunch is cooking 👍🏼
Great to see a returning customers install yesterday. We installed a rais 700 in his lounge several years ago so when he planned his piano room extension he knew exactly which stove he wanted. #rais #insetfire #woodburningstove #stone #contempory
Is it really only Wednesday!
Boys out so I’m snuggling up catching up on trashy tv, really should do something productive but can’t be bothered!
• Lamp @dunelmuk • Fire @stovaxgazco • Walls @duluxuk Linnet White
•Monday blues, and this rain isn’t helping 🌧
But beyond excited, call received from @dfs our sofa is in!! Finally made a decision on blinds 🆒 @blinds2go due this week.
Lounge being finished is within reaching distance 💯✅
Had a few questions about the fake chimney breast we built in the living room so thought I would show how we made it.
Our joiner used heat retardant plasterboard, a metal frame and edging strips to create the main frame (which subsequently had to come down again to get the fire in!!)
The fire is @stovaxgazco Gazco electric fire it’s the Radiance 85R model from A Bell.
We almost didn’t get this fire, we were going to skrimp and get a cheaper one that would have nowhere near had the same affect and I’m so glad we didn’t in the end!
The TV is mounted with plugs directly behind to hide the cables and we have a small inset on the right hand side which stores our sky box so that’s out of sight too.
We had a bit of a nightmare with coving, the coving that was already up we struggled to find a match for off the shelf so had to have a 2 meter piece made up 🙈
The measurements are just over a meter wide and 30cm deep so hardly takes anything out of the room but the overall effect is fantastic!
Finished in my favourite @duluxuk Linnet white and I’m considering adding paper to the alcoves.
So happy with how it turned out it’s better than I imagined it would be.
First picture is the estate agent photo.
The plaster actually mixes in with the paint that was already in this room and appeared in a lot of rooms in the house.
Dark wooden blinds taken down which straight away brought in more light.
There was no focal point in this room and from the moment I saw it I knew I wanted to add a fake chimney breast with mounted tv and fire to the plain rectangular room.
Luckily we had a great joiner CSS Joinery who helped with my vision, and this weekend the last bits were finished off and I have to say it’s exactly how I imagined.
Same carpet throughout the house, the prefect grey.
New sofa on order, white blinds required and then to accessorize!! ——-> SWIPE
🕷🕷🕷 I'm wondering if it's a good idea or not to keep these logs in my living room. I just looked in the basket and it's full of cobwebs which can mean only mean there is or has been spiders in it at some point 😕 I just put the vacuum on and gave it a quick hoover!
