“Get comfortable with yourself. Get present with yourself.
Anything you’re holding on to,
Let Go Of It.” - @kwidal_27
This is why I come to yoga. Not this pose. These words. My brain is all over the place most of my day. But in This room...the heat, the movement, the people, the intensity...Tapas...I have to be present in each moment and it is such a gift.
Tonight was the first time I ever got into this pose. I love arm balances, but this one has eluded me. And not for lack of trying. I’ve given myself a fat lip trying to get this. And one day... I just let it go. Getting in to a certain pose is Not the definition of my yoga practice. I let go of the expectation. Put in the building blocks, the foundation, and just did my practice. I haven’t actually even tried it in months. But tonight, Krystle says “Bekah, you should fly it”. And I just didn’t even think about it. I tried it on one side and nope. Other side, There it was! You just never know. Would my practice tonight have been any Less if I hadn’t gotten it Absolutely Not. As we heard heading in to Savasana tonight...
“For 3 full minutes, just breathe, and just BE.” Amen to that🕉

I’m learning that painting larger is leading to my happy place. Larger paintings seem to pull me in and allow a little more freedom in the process. This landscape is 22 x 30 and makes quite a lovely statement. I can’t wait to get it finished and see how it looks up on the wall! .
What do you all prefer Large statement pieces or smaller for a gallery wall .
Sometimes I generate the ideas and concepts with the sewing process itself. Feeling the fabric and connecting with it... The unpredictable nature of layering each material and object is often a reaction to the one placed before. It is a constant building up of an image and tearing it down.
The more objects placed, the more interesting and thought provoking the surface (mask) becomes. This is a metaphor for the human identity, how we are shaped by what we have experienced in some form or another.

Oil painting of Cornish cliffs painted whilst on holiday. The colour of my work is so important I think this has captured it.
My studio is a HUGE mess right now but GOOD THINGS are happening here!! Panels primed for a series of 24x24 paintings, my new favorite size. Frames ordered ✅ and best of all bamboo floors being installed next week! Just need to get these walls painted white!
Fate is playing with me.🙃 Some time ago I wrote that painters often send emails to people, organizations, fairs, etc. in order to talk about any cooperation. When I started with @effe.colors I had scans of my paintings and I was sending them as attachments to these emails. And sometimes I got the answers like "oh... it's a bit uncomfortable, we don't have time to play with the attachments. Don't you have a website with everything... you know ". After some time it was clear that I had to do my website. Simple and easy to read. All the paintings in your sight. You just have to click on the link. Sounds great, huh Ok, so I involved a few people and we spent a lot of time together to make the website. As soon as the mission was completed I started to send a LINK in emails. I was so proud haha (still I am!).😂 And listen... now I got the third email that they don't have time to browse the site and they are asking me to attach photos of the paintings. LIFE 🤯😂
"Well, that's probably not good..." she muttered as she woke up to see the dismantled computer sitting in her studio. .
My computer has gotten a bit wonky and my #handyhusband is in the process of troubleshooting the cause. One can surmise, with the evidence strewn about, that he is struggling.
How's that for a perfect allegory of my life or is this cruel irony My computer is wonky just like my wonky MS brain.
Did I back everything up I hope so but I can't remember. MS is weird with the things that I remember and I am usually pretty good with writing things down but I can't quite recall this. .
Not much I can do about it and no amount of stress or worry will change the outcome. Life can suck balls sometimes and be a bummer but c'est la vie. It could always be worse.
Now I finally have time to go see #Aquaman. .

Repurposed engagement ring coming up!!!! I will be using my customer’s girlfriends grandmother’s ring to so he can propose to her. I love when there is a meaningful story behind the pieces I make. #viviansaadeprocess146
