Un zumo de fruta no es el equivalente de una pieza de fruta fresca: no nos aporta lo mismo y no provoca la misma reacción en nuestro organismo al consumirlo.

Al exprimir la fruta estamos desechando gran parte de esta: dejamos en el exprimidor o la licuadora la pulpa de la pieza de fruta, donde se encuentran gran parte de sus nutrientes y, sobre todo, la fibra.

Al ingerir la fruta en forma de zumo, sin la fibra que nos aporta, podemos dar lugar a una hiperglucemia en nuestro organismo; es decir, el nivel de azúcar en nuestra sangre sufre una fuerte subida, algo que no ocurriría si ingiriésemos la fruta completa con la pulpa y la fibra.
Además el hecho de tener que masticarlas ya produce una mayor saciedad que bebernos un zumo.

Durante la masticación, que marca el inicio del proceso de digestión, se comienzan a enviar señales al cerebro para indicar que esa comida se debe terminar. Si ingerimos alimentos sin apenas masticarlos (o solamente bebiéndolos, en el caso de los zumos) esa señal tarda más en producirse, por lo que es muy probable que ingiramos más alimentos de la cuenta.

How’s your week going? I took a day to myself yesterday. Still sick. The plan was to rest up however, I really needed to let out some frustration. I went in late, ended up staying till closure because I decided to do a full upper body workout. I knocked out my usuals and wanted more so, I got more familiar with land mine exercises. If you see any opportunities for form correction, let me know. I will most likely add these to the routine. You should try them! •

4 sets, 6-8 reps each; all good if you’re going to failure as weights get heavier but, push yourself. 💪🏾1. Bicep curls into Arnold shoulder presses 
2. Land mine chest presses
3. Land mine single shoulder press
