I've wanted to try a cauliflower crust pizza for some time now because I like cauliflower and thought it sounded good. So tonight I made one and I wasn't too impressed. I may have just chosen a bad recipe but the flavour wasn't great and it's pretty labor-intensive for the mediocre result. The upside is that I wasn't tempted to eat too much of it like a regular pizza!🤷🏻♀️🍕 #inthekitchen #pizza #homecooking #nocarbsnofun
🐙🦑 I’d say let’s cuttle, but I’m a little octopied right now. 🦑🐙
KALE PESTO 💚😋
I’m pretty excited about having a food processor again (old one died 😩), so I got straight into making our family favourite.....pesto! 👨👩👧👦
A great mid-week meal to stir through pasta or use it as a dip.👌🏻
As with all my recipes, it’s super easy, quick and a double batch so you can freeze half. 🙌😊
Here’s the how to:
- 6 kale stalks, blanched
- 1/3 cup toasted pinenuts
- 2 cloves garlic
- 50g Parmesan
- juice and zest of 1 lemon
- 3/4-1cup olive oil
Combine all ingredients except the olive oil in a food processor and blitz. Gradually add the olive oil until the desired consistency is achieved, stopping to scrape down the edges occasionally. Done! ✅ Enjoy 😊 .

I just spent 6hrs singing music harder than Sondheim ever thought possible... then I came home and just spent 3hrs in the kitchen making rice, vegetarian beans dish, lentils, lemon poppyseed loaf, oatmeal banana choc chip cups, sautéed sweet peppers and sesame chicken. DONE. Pretty sure THAT makes me a GODDESS. .

Cooking.......not my favorite thing. 🍅 🔪 ⠀
Too much takeout. 🍕 ⠀
Too much money spent on takeout 💰 ⠀
Too much time (and money) spent on last minute runs to the market because I’d put off the no fun task of figuring out what’s for dinner. 🏃🏻♀️ ⠀
Too many unhealthy grabs from the pantry because....it’s just convenient. 🍪 ⠀
For my sanity (and yours), I’ve tried 3 different ways to simplify the time spent planning and executing meals for the week. ⠀
Hallelujah. 🎉 ⠀
Sanity restored. ⠀
Perhaps one will work for you. 🙏🏻 ⠀

Vegan/GF Swedish Cinnamon-Cardamom Buns
2 cups Good Karma Omega-3 + Protein Flax Milk
1/4 cup olive oil
3 tbsp light golden blue agave nectar
4 tsp active dry yeast
5 cups Bob’s Red Mill All-Purpose GF Flour
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp pure almond extract
1 tsp ground cardamom
1/2 tsp sea salt
1/4 cup coconut oil
1/4 cup organic coconut sugar
2 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp ground cardamom •
Pour milk into a small saucepan and heat on low-medium until warm, but not boiling. Whisk in olive oil and agave nectar, then pour mixture into a large heatproof bowl. Make sure mixture is not too hot, then whisk in the yeast. Let it rest for 15 minutes, or until foaming.
Stir in 1 cup of flour, cinnamon, cardamom, almond extract, and salt. Add the remaining flour in 1/2 cup increments, stirring between additions, until it becomes too difficult to stir with a wooden spoon. Turn dough out into well-floured countertop and knead, adding more flour as necessary, until a soft and smooth dough forms.
Oil a large bowl and place dough into it. Place a plate over the bowl and set it into a warm place to rise, approximately an hour.
Line two large baking sheets with parchment paper. Gently punch dough down onto lightly floured surface. Roll into a large rectangle, about 2 cm thick, and spread with filling. Fold into thirds, take the side furthest from you and bring it towards you about 2/3 of the way, then folding the other side over it.
Use a serrated knife to cut strips about 3 cm wide, then gently stretch each strip before twisting as much as you can. Tie into knot shapes, tuck one end underneath, and pull the other up through the center of the knot. Place buns onto baking sheets and let rise for another 30 minutes. Preheat oven to 375° and bake buns for 20-25 minutes. Cool and enjoy. Serves 14. •
