How do I get faster
This is the question that I am asked the most.
Unfortunately there is no magic pill I can prescribe you to suddenly turn you into the next Adam Peaty but there are techniques I can work with you on to fine tune your stroke and get you swimming more efficiently.
Part of this is decomposing your stroke, working on each part individually and then building it back together.
As i wouldn’t get my swimmers to do anything that I wouldn’t do myself, I have spent the last week doing this in the pool.
This afternoon i dropped my 400m split by 1 minute 38 seconds.
Speed can be achieved guys, so wether you want to improve your own PB, win your next race or beat world records, work on the 3 fundamentals of front crawl and be amazed by how much you can improve

How to overcome that dreaded feeling of getting in cold water at the pool:
1. Focus on the 3rd and 4th laps instead of the first two. Put your efforts into getting to the second minute of the swim, not the first!! 2. Think about your outerwear. Ever thought about a skin suit or Tri top over your suit You can keep heat in your body by wearing 2 swim caps. You can also invest in a pair of foot covers.
4. Use the 5 SECOND RULE. This means counting backwards from 5 and jumping in no matter what! This avoids going back and forth and wasting precious workout time.
