BreatheCon is a virtual CF event designed to help adults with CF connect with and learn from others with CF. I haven’t laughed so hard about mucus and snot since I was a kid (and it’s producing even more mucus and snot)! #cfirl So many beautiful souls! Our perspectives will change the world. When we hear the word “cactus” we picture the desert or that funky, prickly plant in our living room. The quintessential thorny desert plant can be intimidating, but science suggests we should actually sink our teeth into their edible slender stems. Cacti are packed with vitamins and nutrients, proving they are worthy of the label “superfood. 🌵🌵🌵

There are 3 states of mind: there is the reasonable mind, the emotion mind, and wise mind.
WHAT I KNOW: Reasonable mind is cool, rational, task-focused. When in reasonable mind, you’re ruled by facts, reason, logic, and pragmatics. Values and feelings are not important.
WHAT I THINK: Emotion mind is hot, mood-dependent, and emotion-focused. When you’re in emotion mind, you’re ruled by your moods, feelings, and urges to do or say things. Facts, reason, and logic are not important.
WHAT I THINK TO BE TRUE: Wise mind is the wisdom within each person. It is seeing the value of both reason and emotion. It’s not 50/50 of reasonable and emotion mind— but the ESSENCE of both. It is less of a reaction and more of an action that you decide. It is finding “the Middle Path” (more on Middle Path, coming soon). We all have moments where we are either in reasonable or emotion mind, while striving to be in wise mind. Listen, some days it’s going to be tough. How do we reach wise mind Mindfulness! Mindfulness helps bring awareness to your current emotions, helps you check the facts (more on emotions that fit the facts coming soon) and then lets you have a choice to decide on what action to take— that right there is being in wise mind.
