I’ve been sick for the past week and a half so I’ve been doing very little at the gym (see previous post 😢) and focusing on sleeeeeeep instead.
Today I signed up for a class at @fhittingroom to force me back into a good exercise head space—turns out I can still do things with my body and all is not lost! 😅🙏!! Group fitness is my go-to when I’m feeling doubting myself or struggling to get moving. Just show up, don’t actually die —> problem solved!

Thought I broke the streak until I realized I didn’t! And here’s why:
Day 19: I walked well over my steps helping my dad clean his house for our perfect rehearsal dinner.
Day 20: got a quick walk in before rehearsal, nails, and dinner!
Day 21: I married my best friend and danced the night away literally!
Day 22: met my daily steps cleaning our house, putting away wedding stuff, and laughing with my HUSBAND!
And today, day 23, took the pup for a nice long walk. She’s been so patient this weekend as I was running in 5 million different directions!

Think back to a time when you started something new. A relationship, a business, a job, fitness goal. Close your eyes and go back to that moment, what did you hear, think, feel The vision, the excitement and the motivation give all you have to it.
When we let go of perfection and expectation of what something would bring to our lives, it’s easier to accept that all of life is nothing but small stages that begin and end. Have a vision, set a goal, meet it and repeat.
How many jobs have you had, how many relationships, love affairs, houses, clothes All stages. We see children grow through stages so fast and rarely get stuck as we don’t allow them to.
Imagine a builder who walked away from each house after the slab was poured and the frame just started, he loses motivation, downs tools and goes to start the next slab, and the next. There is nothing left but half finished houses. Nothing is forever, but finish what you start.
When we align our minds with our goal of enjoying a certain stage, the experience completely changes. Remind yourself of why you started something, realign your goal, tweak your plan, accelerate the ending if required and find the excitement in finishing that stage, because what’s waiting beyond that could be something totally mind blowing. .

I like Every Minute On The Minute [EMOM] workouts for their utility. They can be used as a HIIT workout or be structured for strength training. Here I am doing 5 push press and 10 leg raises in the plus position on the rings. I am aiming for 30 seconds of rest between movements and alternate them each minute. Find the movements you need to work on and get out and move.
