👊 Keep your form tight. If you're starting to fatigue and your form is being compromised then stop. This is why I believe you see a lot of injuries in crossfit.

👊👊 Compound moves done at high volume quickly leads to fatigue putting form at risk which highly increases the chance of injury. Nothing wrong with crossfit I'm just using this as an example of where these instances seem to occur a lot especially amongst the inexperienced.

👊👊👊 Drive with your legs out of the bottom. Don't BS half rep it. You can see my heels are coming off the ground so your excuse of I can't go arse to grass won't hold up here.

📈 Expect heart rate to dramatically increase.

⏰ 3 rounds for 20 reps (with good form) is good - resting 2-3 minutes between rounds.

Big circuit Saturday @freighthousefitness. Lots of shoulders with some triceps and legs. Worked through 2 classes plus 2 TABATAs. 4 sets 35/15 & 25/12 plus an EMOM. The EMOM was 8 minute long. It wasn't hard enough so we (@mrgocrazy80) added lunges to finish each minute.

Really crushed the shoulders today with the side raises.

I can remember when I couldn't do 1 diamond push-up. Today I knocked out more than 100. Progress. You need to remember the journey. 
Might have pushed it little too much with landmine thrusters when I up to 225 lbs. It wasn't cardio work, it was survival. 
Added 3 second pauses at the bottom of the KB goblet squats because we control gravity.

DB side raise 15/12 lbs
Sledgehammer tire 20 lb'er 
TRX front raise 
Side lung battle rope
Bikes & rowers
Box diamond push-ups
Landmine barbell thrusters: 135/185/215

Her main weakness within her training is strength when it comes to pushing movements so we’ve been performing the landmine thruster to help increase strength in this aspect due to the explosive motion of the movement type ll muscle fibres are being recruited more which in turn will help with strength increase in this plane of movement. Plus this exercise adds a cardiovascular aspect as well so it will help to improve overall fitness levels and with the squat included as well functionality will improve also. Laura has gone from performing the exercise with just the bar to now having a 10kg plate added in just 4 weeks, it’s testament to her hard work and dedication week after week. The Why:
A more challenging alternative to bilateral (both arms) pressing or Goblet Squats. Due to the bar being off-center, it increases the challenge on your core, glutes and legs to stabilize and prevent shifting and rotation. In addition, this exercise will shoot your heart rate up quickly making it a great exercise for endurance!

The What:
Similar to the normal Squat+Press variations, it challenges your entire lower body, core, shoulders and triceps. .

The How:
0.1: Set up a land mine station or put a Barbell into a corner of the room.

a) Hold the end of the Barbell in one hand just in front and above one shoulder. Make sure your elbow is directly under your hand (forearm is vertical).
b) Set your shoulders down and back, plus keep your core braced and neutral spine.
c) Squat back, keeping your knees out and Center pressure on your feet.
d) Drive through the ground, extending your body and seamlessly press the Barbell overhead.
e) Repeat.

HINTS: 
1) Although this is both an upper and lower body exercise, you shouldn’t separate the squat movement from the press movement. Purposely use the momentum from your legs to help press the weight up overhead; this allows you to use enough weight to challenge your legs.

So pleased that I was able to brush off yesterday's little setback and get in to the gym this morning for a super early weights session, I've always been a fan of some fasted morning cardio but early morning lifting and shifting gives me a whole new, equally wonderful set of feels.
Today after my full-body bodyweight circuit I went downstairs into the testosterzone and kept it pretty simple working on just three things; some plate pinches to warm up my paws, deadlifts and then some time with what I believe is called the landmine 🤷🏻‍♀️ getting used to some new, different movements. My co-ordination isn't the best so it challenged me on a whole number of levels and its definitely not something I could use surrounded by others yet but I think I might learn to love this little dude (so many possibilities).I finished the morning off with a good long steady state row, something I haven't done for a very long time, and left feeling amazing.

I'm hoping that I'll get to squeeze in a session with The Boss tomorrow which will, if it happens, be the perfect end to this week. This flying solo malarkey is tough.

In honor of the news that the X-men are finally going to be part of the MCU, I decided to to the Wolverine Deadlift Workout last night. Sorry about the really bad angle of the weighted sit-ups. But this workout was pretty tough especially since I have never done Zercher squats or landmine thrusters before. But I still enjoyed this workout, it also helps that Wolverine is my favorite superhero! Full workout is below.
