If there is one thing I am passionate about, it’s helping others believe that miracles happen🌟
January, 2015 I was diagnosed with stage 3c ovarian cancer. The doctors told me there was no cure. I really thought I was going to die. It was the darkest time of my life😢
My mind was spinning out of control which it often seems to do ( lots going on in this little head of mine), but what I did know how to control was my body. I am a movement educator. I teach Pilates, yoga. Basically, I love all movement. I believe movement is medicine for our soul. Movement keeps us living🤗
I believe that yoga + Pilates and my workouts at my gym saved my life. I was so fortunate to have my own rehabilitation clinic where my studio is. I am so grateful that I was surrounded my healers and people who know how critical movement is for healing. On the days I wanted to give up, they wouldn’t let me😘
Everyday I came to work with my bald head and a BIG smile because I got the chance to teach another yoga/pilates class. It’s my happy place❤️
My students were my support team. They modified poses with me. They never gave up on me and I never gave up on them. I will never give up on you either😉
The picture of me on the second row where I look like death with my new ileostomy ( colon bag) was the worst day of my life. I wanted to die. But that same day my best friend and life companion made me start exercising in my bed. Did I like it No. But guess what It worked. It took someone other than myself to get me motivated. I wanted to cry and get angry. He wanted results and that is why he made me walk the halls double the amount of what the nurses said to do. .
I think we all underestimate the power of our body. Our mind is the one stopping us. The body is strong, but you must take care of it. .
I noticed my pain decrease when I did my simple stretches. It got the blood flow moving. It helped with my depression. Basically, movement saved my life.
This month is ovarian cancer awareness month. It is my mission to serve thousands of women around the world reclaim their strength and hope through my movement programs, and my emotional healing programs online😘

How you speak to yourself matters! 💞
Send your subconscious mind encouragement, love, and compassion. When you begin to bring mindfulness to your thoughts, you will start to notice “self-talk” going on; the talks you are having with yourself. You may notice, especially if you are new to this process, that the things you are saying are unbelievably harsh and not very compassionate. We tend to be very hard on ourselves most of the time, and even say things that we would never say to a friend: “I’m so dumb, I’ll never get this right.” Or “What is wrong with me” Over time moods and emotions distort the thoughts in one direction or another. When we are in a good mood, the frequency and intensity is easier to lighten; and lot of times you may even catch yourself thinking something positive like “I’m a genius!” “I CAN do this!” Haha But when you are out of alignment and swimming in emotional distress the negative thoughts become more intense and frequent.
Bringing mindfulness to our thoughts not only helps us become more familiar with how our minds work but also shows us where the “auto-pilot” mode goes to when we are not paying attention. Once you become aware of these thoughts you can choose to free yourself from allowing the negative chatter to dictate who you are an d what you believe. You are NOT YOUR THOUGHTS! You are SO much more.
An approach I take to check myself throughout the day is by asking myself the question: “What’s on my mind right now” Be curious and watch as the judgement keeps rising up in you. How can you shift that negative chat with a positive loving affirmation I then take time for gratitude and profess thanks out loud to the universe and follow it up with an empowering affirmation. Sometimes I will take the time to write out the affirmations multiple times, while other times I repeat them in different dialects to myself. Even if your conscious mind doesn’t believe the affirmation at first, keep saying it. It takes repetition, patience, and practice; but over time it does get easier, and the chatter does start to shift as you transform your subconscious mind.
