Step two filled the canvas with 1/3 white and 2/3 amazing colors 😍. If your new to using mediums like #liqutex or #floetrol just be patient and if you think it looks weird scary don’t stress because these mediums are opaque and it will probably dry very differently! On the flip side don’t get too attached if you pour something amazing and then when it dries it’s wildly ugly😂 it’s all part of the process.
But seriously #fluidart is just a huge life lesson in the impermanence of what we try to control.

So true. I still have a long way to go with this one. However I am pretty proud with how far I have come. So many lessons learned in this life. A situation takes place....you react...you rethink how you could have reacted differently...more maturely. You recognize where you want to change and actively put in effort to develop those traits. Some time goes by and a very similar situation takes place and you react. This time, it's differently than you did before. You're proud of yourself and how you handled the situation. That's growth. Keep going😀 #growth #lessons #lifelessons #charactertraits
“I lied and said I was busy, I was busy; but not in a way most people understand. I was busy taking deeper breaths, I was busy silencing irrational thoughts. I was busy calming a raving heart. I was busy telling myself I am okay. Sometimes this is my busy and I will not apologise for it.” Brittin Oakman’s poem ---"I liked and said I was busy" expresses the struggle for calm that is experienced by individuals living with anxiety disorders.
Oakman’s poem also reminds those suffering from mental illness of the importance of prioritizing self-care.
Self-care is important for our physical health as well as our mind, soul and our overall health. Without self-care, our relationships with others can suffer tremendously.
Some people think taking self-care is selfish or inconsiderate. We know self-care actually makes us more effective and energetic. When we avoid things that make us feel physically and mentally well, us deplete our confidence and self-esteem. Self-care is important to maintain a healthy relationship with ourself, called self-love. It produces positive feelings, which improves confidence and self-esteem too.
