Intersubjectivity is a shared experience between two conscious minds. What one pictures is not going to be the same as the next. When asking a group of people to picture the Blue Ridge Mountains, what does one see
I see a landscape that all four seasons go through, I feel at ease with myself, and with world. I have so many wonderful memories that these mountains have made possible and for that, I'm eternally grateful. .

"Vale guardar e aprender com as lições do passado, o que não vale é perder tempo lastimando o que não pode mais mudar. Viva sempre a favor do tempo, pois perder tempo é perder vida, e a vida é o nosso bem mais precioso!!!"
This sums me up quite perfectly!
If you know my mum, you’ll know that she’s called me all of this (and more) and really it’s because of her calling me the Fairy 🧚♀️ of the family, that I became known as Your Oil Fairy 🧚♀️ ..
Did you / Do you have a nickname that’s formed who you are today I’d love to know so comment below 👇🏼👇🏼 ..
There’s a spot prize for my favourite one.
Pancakes are really my favorite! Not sure if it’s because of the protein my body receives from it or the joy of making them. #hardwork, #fitlife, #goldsgym, #livelife, #neverquit, #gymlife, #ironaddicts
During this very difficult time for Italians across the world, I would like to take a moment to remember the wonderful beauty of Venezia and the genius behind the architects of this ancient city.
I am blessed to have experienced such beauty before the floods intensified each year.
Venice is literally built on top of a lagoon. The architects that built the city literally built it on top of wooden poles that dig deep into clay sediment beneath each structure. Each building is designed to move and change form as a result of the tide.
One very sad and important thing to remember when visiting is the reason these buildings are deteriorating are yes, due to global warming, but also due to speed boats rented primarily by tourists that cause a disruption in the normal flow of the water. If you want to take a small step towards preservation, do not fall into this tourist trap.
Venice, we are praying for you 🙏🏻
For those of you who know me very well, you know Bryn Athen Cathedral is a place I visit many times for reflection. The Pitcairn patriarch, John Pitcairn Jr., financially funded this piece of land and made it into a type of settlement for the followers of Emmanuel Swedenborg. The New Church, as they are referred to, believe that all religions lead to heaven or a higher understanding. Pitcairn was thought to be very progressive for his time in the 20th century but ironically was an inspiration for the Antivaccination League of America 🤷🏼♀️ some suggestions when wandering through : definitely visit @glencairnmuseum and climb to the top of the tower where, on a clear sunny day, you can see downtown Philadelphia and its surroundings. Additionally, if you walk the entire grounds, you will be able to see various details in architecture, one very important being that nothing matches. The masons and architects designed the building in a way that each door has a different, distinct key. Even the doorknobs are not matching ! Lastly, if you are feeling spooky, walk to the church graveyard just a 15 minute stroll west from the Cathedral, where you will see that not many members survived into adulthood during the 19th and 20th centuries. Enjoy !
Kicked off the holiday season at @peddlersvillage ! With over 60 speciality shops, it’s the perfect place to see Christmas lights and experience some holiday cheer. While you’re visiting, make sure you stop by What’s In A Name shop to learn more about your last name and family crest, Nina’s Cafe for some Nutella waffles, and Cook and Gardener Antiques ! Also, don’t forget to stand in the ultra-touristy light up arch at the entrance of the village.
Some advice to consider when visiting:
Be wary of the “European” shops in the center of the village, most of their products are made in Taiwan (something you will notice by looking at the products). 🎅🏻🎄Season specific: each year the village hosts an annual gingerbread house contest. This is something cute to check out if you have the time.
