Monday’s episode was my interview with the “Million Dollar Mentor” - Wayne Cotton.⠀
It was so good that I actually had to cut the episode into TWO episodes because Wayne just kept sharing nugget after nugget after nugget.⠀
DO. NOT. MISS. EITHER. EPISODE.⠀
Today’s part 2 is called “Hell & Back.” It’s only 24-minutes long and worth every second of it.⠀
Tune in now and your jaw will drop…
Today was a day ALL about the kids! We started early with the lad having a private surfing lesson with Black Dog Surf School. From the very first phone call with Dean, to the compassion, patience and expertise from Lachy, to the reception when we arrived back to see the photos, we could not speak any higher of our experience. If we are back in this area, we will most definitely return and will recommend anyone we know to have their lesson with them. Absolutely thrilled and the photo's speak for themselves. Then, this afternoon our young lady got to do her most loved sport of all time - horse riding!! Zephyr Horses also provided the best service from the very first second of arrival. Riding from Forest to Beach, this experience will be talked about for the coming months I am sure! With placid horses, experienced lead staff and a private track, this ride was set up for success! Please, if you are in this area, give these two businesses a shot! Then, the mumma did a job completing 13 months of Data Entry. A pretty full day for all really! We then decided to go and grab some fish and chips from Fish heads @ Byron Bay and oh my! They were delicious! Photos are just the phone photos. The rest will follow 😍

I’m on top of the world!
Maybe not the world, but I am at the highest natural point of elevation south of Lake Okeechobee in Florida. Rising above sea level at a whopping 86ft, Hobe “Mountain” gives you a view of the intracoastal waterway and the Atlantic Ocean from Jonathan Dickinson State Park. I went on a solo hike/adventure this afternoon up to the top of the observation tower. 💙🌴
The girls gave us some eggs!!! Too bad they were frozen and cracked since we didn't check the boxes Monday or Tuesday and it was single digits out. Completely unexpected surprise! So far today we got 2 eggs-- so exciting!! I'm kinda blown away They started laying on the coldest days of the year 🐣🐥🐤🐔🐓
It wasn’t until college that I discovered how much I love running! 👟 Being a single mom at the time, with a full 20 hour course load, working 2 part time jobs was STRESSFUL!!!! So whenever I could get a run in, it was sheer delight, it became my therapy. I never viewed it as a competitive sport, not really. It was just too therapeutic in my head to be anything but the best counseling session!
When I moved to Albuquerque, I found a group of people that loved running as much as I do. They talked A LOT about half-marathons, marathons, 5K, you name it! A handful of them ran competitively, most did not. I gave it a lot of thought and decided to take on my first 13.1. IT WAS AWESOME! I was hooked! My goal became running the @DukeCityMarathon. I did it in 2013. The following spring I injured my knee. It took some time to heal because, well, because I’m stubborn. It was 4 months before I could start running again to prepare for the @ABQHalfMarathon the following spring. And then I injured my other knee the day before Thanksgiving. And then again in the spring.
A couple of months laterI discovered essential oils 💧 They really helped with healing my bad knees. Since then I have tried off & on to start some kind of running program. But didn’t stick to any one of them. Truth be told, I was scared. I hate pain! And I hate limitations. In my mind at the time, that is how I saw running. So I kept putting it off.
In September, my family & I headed to Tent Rocks. Gorgeous place! What should have taken us ~1 hour to reach the top took us 2.5. ALL of us were out of breath, feeling the tension in muscles, and half of us wanted to turn around midway and head back down. When we finally reached the summit, we all decided it was time to put exercise back into our daily routines, and make our health a priority. We each set goals that day, overlooking the beautiful Pajarito Plateau. And we’ve stuck to them since. Our gym time is NON-NEGOTIABLE. As a family, we exercise 2-3 times a week. On weekends, we do something active outdoors.
My goal The #abqhalfmarathon2020 and #dukecitymarathon next year. I have an incredible group of “cheerleaders” & oils to help along the way ☺️
