"This, this was heartbreak. The pain in your chest, the ache behind your eyes. The knowing that things will never be the same again. It’s all relative, I suppose. You think you know love, you think you know re- al pain, but you don’t. You don’t know anything." #perksofbeingawallflower #sad #lonely #iwannagohome #broken
The verse above tells us to be anxious for nothing, but sometimes we are anyway. This is definitely the case when we're close to a breakthrough. We can find ourselves anxiously awaiting the manifestation of the promise in the form we'd imagined it to come. But with most breakthrough and moves of God, they often show up in a form we didn't imagine and during a time we were not expecting.
A promised breakthrough from God will contain more than what you had imagined! In our eyes, we see it as "blessings", but in God's eyes, He sees it as a divine plan coming to pass.
David becoming king of Israel was definitely a blessing, but in that blessing was the responsibility of ruling as a man after God's own heart (1st Samuel 13:14) - God's plan. To be king over the nation of Isreal was something to be greatly desired but David did not enter his kingship like the kings of other nations. David first had to be prepared for the responsibility of being king before entering into that position.
We, too, must also be prepared for the responsibilities that comes with what God has promised us. But when we're anxious, we open ourselves up to all kinds of feeling, including doubt as things don't move in the way we had imagined them to.
God loves you!
Give your life to Christ
Say Lord I confess my sins, and I make You my Lord and Savior.
