I don’t post photos of my body anymore. I think that’s quite unusual for a PT but after years of competitive bodybuilding and being ultra lean I guess I struggled with the change in my shape and didn’t feel as confident... I also don’t like to sell the idea that how you look is the most important part of fitness. It isn’t.
I still work really hard in the gym and am fitter than ever... I eat... allllll the time, am more relaxed about food and I drink wine whenever I fancy. Alcohol was something I never touched for many years.
It feels good to be enjoying life, not stressing about what I eat or look like 24/7 (something that became an inevitable part of the competing lifestyle) and looking in the mirror and seeing a healthy, strong body that I’ve worked hard at but am not obsessed with.
