Today I feel really humbled by my body. While I’ve been really frustrated with it lately, I haven’t given it enough credit. Today it lifted some really heavy stuff and kept doing it over and over. While I’m not quite close to my old squat PRs yet, my bench press and deadlifts are close. I love my programs that have afforded me to work out at home as I’ve needed to, but my heart is here. Sweating, cursing the ab work I know I need to do, pushing my limits, pushing weight, pulling weight, and sharing the vibes of people out to do the same. My body keeps surprising me with the strength it still has. I wasn’t lifting near this heavy at home. But the muscle memory remains. 💪🏻

A few years back when I tried to answer a similar question I had the hardest time because I hated my body. But sometimes you need to think about your body differently. Think about what your healthy body allows you to do. Things that a sick, malnourished body would not be able to easily do. Then you can more easily see why your body is so amazing.
For this prompt the first word I think of is strong. My recovered body has ran a half marathon! It allows to dance, hike, bike ride. I have always loved being active and I'm so greatful for my body allowing me to continue doing what I love!

Spring Onion Water
Traditional family recipe for a savoury drink.
Leftover white stalks of 1 bunch of spring onion, edges cut
1 teaspoon turmeric
1 teaspoon ginger
1 slice of lemon
6 cups of water
Boil all ingredients together for thirty minutes. Drink liquid warm.
