1511: Sometime just after sunrise after we descended down the mountain to get better views from under the fog. You can make out various islands in the water and clouds hanging low. And trees. Oh so many trees. Then we got back in the car and drove for 8 hours to get back to the city and it’s skyscrapers. Mondays done right!🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲
1510: Sunday was another chilled day, mostly spent driving about, marvelling at how beautiful everything was. I kept it cool by only commenting as such every 10 minutes. You’d think I’d never seen a tree before by the way I went on about it all. It definitely made me nostalgic for the English countryside of my childhood and camping in the garden 🌲🍂 🍃 🍁 🌳
1509: First hike in the Acadia national park complete! This was the view from the top of the “beehive trail” which included iron rungs to climb up, granite steps and a “danger of death or serious injury” warning sign at the start. Thankfully we all made it in one piece! We finished the day by stargazing first at the top of the mountain and then on a beach, wishing on shooting stars (yes, plural) 💫 and locating both the Big Dipper and the Little Dipper ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
Little break from editing so here’s another one from this session with these two cuties. 🍂 Can someone tell me why I always think it’s a good idea to watch horror movies by myself when I live alone 😨😒
Sound on 🤯
It started like any other morning. Stella had been out individually curing and drying her leaves, and I was just wrapping up my daily shake weight routine. Suddenly something felt off, but also... on. As I made my way toward the leaf pile the air went warm and something caught my eye. That’s when I saw her... watching, waiting, like an awkward little land seal with wings. It was Judith, back from... wherever it is that Judith goes.
1508: Road trip exploring after 6 or so hours of driving, exploring numerous Dunken Donuts stores, when we finally got word that the power was back on in our Airbnb and surprised the tourists nearby with our jubilation. Then for another 4 hours of driving before we made it to our home for the weekend 🏡
