When the kids were younger, we used to go hiking and go on little road trips ALL the time. We had those backpacks to carry them in and would hit up a new spot each time. 🍁🍁
Well then the kids got older and they started making their own plans and sadly our Sunday family days slowly slipped away. 😭
Well here’s to taking those days back. ♥️♥️
Today we planned on just going on a family hike. But that turned into driving 30 miles down to @sodapopjunct for burgers and shakes as well 🍨🍔 (which we HIGHLY recommend it if you haven’t been!).
So my Sunday thoughts. We all want to go on extravagant trips. Or go spend annoying amounts of money on fun things for our kids. But sometimes, it’s just as fun to take advantage of the hidden gems closest to us.
And there are a lot of mom and pop shops around that need lovin’ too 🥰✌🏼

Kays took this picture the other night.
At first I was irritated because of course I looked like an exhausted pile of mess.
But the more I look at it I realize it doesnt matter what I look like. My kids dont care. All they want is story time with mom and dad. The memories and fun amd love is what matters, not how skinny I am or my hair is messy or not....
So, take all the double chinned frizzy hair, messy life pictures you can. I guarentee they will be filled with memories 💜
