I had a new client recently ask me why I didn't include posting to Twitter in my proposal, and would I consider it I had researched Twitters declining usage and difficulty achieving a solid Marketing ROI for small/medium business owners, but it had been some time and hey, this is Social Media Marketing. Change happens FAST! So, I looked into it again... Unfortunately for Twitter, the news isn't looking so good. Astonishingly, 80% of Twitter users are operating outside of the U.S. and only 24% of Americans have an "active" Twitter account. Of that 24%, the demographics are pretty narrow. Does that mean Twitter is a lost cause for your business Absolutely not. If your target market includes a large European audience, or your target customer fits the Twitter profile, it could still very well be a good fit for you. If you have any questions, let's chat!

In a perfect world, both platforms can be great for #brandconsistency. However, #Facebook and #Instagram are not generally great tools for #LeadGeneration, because of the #Intention of the user when they are spending time on social media. The intention of Facebook and Instagram is not to search for things or businesses. It’s to socialize. There are some indications that search is increasing in frequency on #Facebook, and #Hashtag searching on #Instagram, but it’s still not a common practice.
Google however, is exactly where people turn when they need to search for a product or a #business. When people search on Google there is an immediate need, and an intention to find the information that they type in...especially on a #SmartPhone.
For example, when someone turns to GOOGLE and types in “Truck bed liners near me,” what do you think they are looking for
Your first emphasis should always be to invest your budget in getting in front of the low hanging fruit: people in your own #neighborhood or #community that are searching for your products.
