Classy, but relaxed. Simple, but elevated. The Long Sleeve offers endless possibilities to your look: tucked, untucked, tied, buttoned, open. However you choose to wear it, you’ll make it yours. 💫
🛍 Everlane mini review: the SQUARE TURTLENECK vs the MOCKNECK CROP. Spoiler alert: I kept the Mockneck Crop, 'cause I’m a front tuck-er.
PICS: 1️⃣ Square, full length. 2️⃣ 3️⃣ Crop, front tucked and untucked 4️⃣ Square, front untucked 5️⃣ Crop back 6️⃣ Square back 7️⃣ awkward tucked Square.
FABRIC: Overall, neither of them are quite as soft as my year-old v-neck crop, but it’s been washed and worn. The Square is thicker, but the Mockneck is softer and finer feeling, but not cheap or flimsy at all. (Depending on your bra/lack thereof, it might be slightly nipply! I did not edit that out; I’m wearing a Truebody bra without cups. In a thicker bra, not an issue.) COLOR: I got the ivory Mockneck, which is ever so slightly sheer, but I doubt other colors would be. In the Square, I got the oatmeal color, which is gorgeous, a light warm grey with a slight texture. I would trade colors, if I could!
BODY: They’re actually quite a bit different, more than I anticipated. Both are boxy, but the lighter fabric of the Mockneck makes it cling a bit more. The Square has a 3-4” thick, heavy bottom hem. It helps it keep its shape when worn, which is great, but I’m a front tuck-er, and as you can tell in the last photo, it just… doesn’t tuck. The Mockneck is, as described, a crop, but not too cropped, and maybe only 2-3” shorter than the Square. I returned the Square, because although I actually loved it on me, I don’t think it’s as versatile since I can’t tuck it in.
ARMS: Both are drop shoulder, but well fitted in the shoulder. The Square has slightly shorter sleeves. The softer fabric of the Mockneck makes the arm drape a bit more, but I’d say they’re the same overall.
NECK: The Mockneck’s cuffed neck is just high enough to look distinct, without being constricting or too hot, which I love. The Square’s neck is actually quite loose and comfy, without being so tall or wide that it slouches or falls over.
I’m wearing high rise (11”) jeans; I’m 5’2-3”. #everlane #everlanewomen #everlanecashmere #everlanereview

Something I get the most questions about is how to layer our bigger, boxier pieces. Luckily this is my favourite thing to do, so today I’m walking you through it from final look all the way down to the base layer 🤗 .
On the bottom is a black silk long sleeved blouse and our silk straight cropped pant from the SYSTEM. On top I’ve got my favourite sweater of all time, this recycled Italian cashmere ribbed knit (it’s 20% off right now until December 12th and comes in three colours!!!) and then my long time layering go-to, my ICON boiled wool kimono. Everything is @eileenfisherny except for the shoes which are @stuartweitzman ✨
Click all the way through to see my styling touches 👉🏻 My top tips are: don’t be afraid of volume, don’t be afraid to get dramatic, and don’t be afraid of switching things up: roll up your sleeves, do a French tuck, let the layers hang out the bottom, or even use one of our knit pins to cinch something in the middle like I’ve done in pic 6! Happy styling everyone! 🤗

I often think about the woman I’m becoming and how I love her and how 18 year old me would be so shook! All the steps I’ve taken, the learning and unlearning, the courage, the strength, everything I’ve had to do to bring me to this point is something I’ll never take for granted again. Right now, the goal is to love the process as much as the end result because the coming year looks so freaking bright and I need to prepare myself for the amount of work to be done. Hope you’ve all had an amazing week and if you haven’t, big up yourself still! YOU GOT THIS!!! 💕 // 📸: @beyondfilmandphotography
