Always find a reason to smile especially when it seems impossible. .
Some nights go by easily and other nights I go home not wanting to look at airplanes for the rest of the day. .
Other days I put make up on and smile and think “damn who is that!! You got this girl!!!” Lol.

Sunday advice, Take it Twice! 🎊 People ask me a lot questions about aircraft maintenance career, I’ll try to answer them all little by little here. Today, coming to work, made me think about this part of the deal: schedule. Here, those who work shifts call their first day of the shift Monday, and last day of the shift Friday, appealing to the normal work week days, not the current day. So, today is my Monday and Wednesday is my Friday 🍻 And my advice for you today, before you choose this field, think twice, if you’re ready to live in a crazy work schedule. In the beginning of your career your shifts gonna be the worst one. You’ll work nights, holliday’s and you’ll work weekends. You ready for this #lovewhatyoudodowhatyoulove #sundayadvicetakeittwice

Alright! Here is a real throwback to high school senior me! You would be surprised, but that was 9 years ago. I was in powerplant 2 and what I was doing I can’t remember, but I do know it was my favorite subject... what classes did you prefer Airframe or Powerplant... 👩🏻🔧

We were called to the Bahamas for a cabin odor but ended up finding something different wrong. We ran into a leaky starter. Which called for us to remove it and change seals and then reinstall it. Ops test good and then sending it on it’s way! The best part of the job!
A friend who helps you replace brakes on your Extra is a good friend, indeed! Looking good, @thatladylindy

Who: AWAM Pakistan -
When’s: May 2nd -
The idea behind this event was not only to encourage and inspire young girls by letting them have a face to face conversation with women who have achieved milestones in the field of aerospace/aviation but also to promote aerospace/aviation as a whole.
The aerospace industry in Pakistan is thriving, the RAeS does its part by organizing monthly lectures and activities thus injecting enthusiasm as well as relevant knowledge in young students and professionals so that we can give a better future to them and the industry. Their struggles, experiences and achievements might clear the doubts and fears in young minds and let more ambitious women join this field, thus in the longer run contributing towards the positive image of Pakistan.
Since it was such a slow night, here is a #throwback to me changing fuel filters on an engine! Can anyone guess what type of engine that is 👩🏻🔧✈️
I get asked a lot if being an aircraft mechanic is worth the long days and nights, lack of sleep and abnormal schedule and horrible social life... long, LONG story short... absolutely!!!!
Shirleen working on a Beech 18, made in the 1960s. If you ever need help with dope and fabric, or a radial with a bad attitude, she's the woman to call!
Working in a male dominated field it’s not that often that you get to hang out with other awesome females, so I’m very aware of how lucky I am that most of the time I work in a female dominated maintenance shop!
For the first two years I was in aviation I could go weeks on end without seeing another woman at all, I worked as a lineman, I was apprentice A&P and I was working on my pilots license. Non of those activities involved women, I really didn’t have any girlfriends that lived close at the time, and I am married to a man who has male friends. I actually left the apprenticeship for a few months but, when I came back we had another female apprentice! Im so blessed that I have a sister in the shop 💚 I also Managed to get my welder friend hooked on flying and the rest is history 😎
We of course had to stage a super cheesy “working” photo
