African Roatrip. Our camp-home for the two days at Toshari Lodge, 25 km from Okaukuejo rest camp, Etosha National Park.
This was one of the best campsites I have stayed in, in years. We spend two days doing wildlife photography in Etosha. I was sligtly overwhelmed with this incredible experience.
My dad (the legend) who was born in Namibia, was the best tourguide ever. I shot the best photographs of my entire photography career in the park in the two days we stayed at Toshari. I am contemplating a career in wildlife photography! My mind is still blown! This campsite at Toshari Lodge is a dream. I am looking forward to my next visit to Africa! #Africa #africaroadtrip #camping #campinginnamibia #Namibia #etosha #etoshanationalpark #etoshaexplorer #adventure #explore #namibiatourism
onism - n. the awareness of how little of the world you’ll experience - The Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows
Onism. A visual reflection of an African Journey.
The next 5 days will be spend reflecting on an incredible 6 months spend traveling and exploring 5 countries. Daniel and I visited South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe and Malaysia. The next couple of posts would be a visual diary of our adventures in Africa and our experiences and the inspirational places we visited. I took a bit of a break from life and the digital world and enjoyed just being present in all experiences. I am also happy to say I am immigrating to Germany and will get married to my partner in crime soon. (I met Daniel 4 years ago in India and I am happy to start this life journey with him.) This photo was taken in one of my favorite places on this tiny blue planet, Deadvlei at Sossusvlei. This pan is a salt and clay pan surrounded by the Namib desert dunes. These high red dunes have drawn me to the Namib a couple of times in my life. Sossusvlei is located in the southern part of the Namib Desert, in the Namib-Naukluft National Park of Namibia. The Namib has a special place in my heart. My dad was born in Namibia. I am happy to also call myself Namibian! #Travel #Africa #explore #Sossusvlei #Deadvlei #Namibia #Namibiatravel

Road tripping time! You immediately get that sense of Namibian landscape, remoteness and wildlife.
Self-driving is a great way to discover the vast landscapes of Namibia, but I have limited time, and so I am being guided by Alpha – who is an endless source of information on history, politics, wildlife, geology and everything in between! …
We head southwest through the scenic Khomas Hochland, where undulating hills suddenly give way to Great Escarpment, with a view that literally took my breath away. Descending down the Spreethoogte Pass, I felt like I was in a ‘Top Gear’ episode! …
The astounding landscape and colours are everchanging. A few fascinating Sociable Weaver Bird nests, crossing the Tropic of Capricorn, the ‘wild-west’ town of Solitaire and a delicious roadside lunch later. - Belinda …
