Summer time in Michigan is in full swing and I’m inspired by the blues and greens of the lakes. #natureinspired #getoutside

A first look at my new studio! (In process) 🌿🖋💭 I’ve moved to Tofino, Canada 🇨🇦, from New Zealand 🇳🇿. It’s so beautiful here, beaches and rainforests every day 🌞 I’m going to be coming back and forth so please get in touch if you’d like to book a project in New Zealand 😊 I still work remotely with a lot of my NZ clients, and am excited to be taking this leap into Canada & the US! 😍 I was born in Vancouver Canada, but have spent my whole life in New Zealand. So, I’m a Kiwi, but I really love & feel connected to Canada and I’m excited for this new chapter in my career 😍🌊 Two amazing countries, I feel so incredibly grateful 🌿✨ I’ve got some exciting new works to share with you, and I’m getting my online shop ready with some beautiful new collectables 💌 Tap on this photo to see where I’ve gathered these lovely studio items from ✨ Thanks @caskatter @morrow.dale @jenneecostanzo @royhenryvickersgallery for the easel! 🎨 Thanks @chelseacoughlin for the beautiful blanket/scarf that I’ve worn ever since you gave it to me ❤️ Thanks @paulmakespictures for spending 6 hours in ikea with me 😂
I'm loving how many beautiful butterflies are flying about at the moment, it's so encouraging to see 🦋 however they are very much on the decline here in England due to loss of habitat. It's so important we restore our wild meadows and give back to our beautiful countryside ❤ This Polymer Clay brooch was inspired by the Red Admiral Butterfly, she will be available in my Etsy shop very soon x

This box was a process but i enjoyed every min of it and can’t wait to do more!
#It features a resin window with hand picked flowers from the wasatch mountains.
It contains a handmade ceramic flower mama bear. Bears represent strength and confidence,
standing against adversity and taking action and leadership.
The spirit of the the bear indicates it’s time for healing or using healing abilities to help yourself or others.
It also has 3 healing crystals:
Smokey Quartz - comforts & protects
Pink Opal - brings peaceful energy
Pink calcite - releases past fear
It feels like forever since I've touched clay (and posted anything pottery-related)! As much as I'm enjoying my time in Mexico I am definitely missing my studio. I'm waiting to see how/if this trip inspires new pottery ideas. So far I'm not feeling those lightning bolt moments of inspiration that grab hold of me when I go on road trips to visit, hike and camp in National Parks. Hanging out in Mexico makes me want to write, draw or paint more than make pottery🤔 I'm thinking maybe nature taps into a different creative vein for me...my more earthy pottery vein. For me, writing and drawing/painting are where I express and process my inner life: my emotions, thoughts, contradictions, aspirations, my tragically/hilariously flawed human self, etc. Sculpting and pottery seem connected to a more spiritual experience of being overwhelmed and fascinated with the beauty and immensity of Nature (and wishing I could bring it home with me and live in that feeling for a while). How many of you switch between creative media according to what you're trying to express #mugshotmonday #mugsofinstagram #instapottery #treesofinstagram #natureinspired #coffeelovers #coffeemug #livebeautifully #livecolorfully
Today’s ‘just because I had the idea and felt like painting it’ art 😊 I used watercolors to paint the background and gold ink for the design. 🌿
I’m working to get better at making some of the little ideas I have instead of just trying to keep them in my head. It can be hard to spend time on them when there’s no end product in mind, but I’m trusting that all these little ideas will turn into something. Right now they’re my favorite part of my work, so that’s enough for me! 💆🏼♀️✌🏻 Happy Monday 🌿
If you saw my insta story you’ll know I visited The Calyx on Sunday.. had to try some pinky burgundy combos 😌
