Happy national boss day to all the #mombosses out there! I am so thankful for my baby girl & my coaching opportunity. I distinctly remember the day I decided to become a coach. I was once a working mom, a 9-5er, struggling to get by on my little salary. I was gone for 12 hours a day, and exhausted by the time I got home. Hayden was miserable, I was miserable, and I didn’t have the patience to cook, clean, and play day after day, by myself. I knew I wanted a change, but had no idea where to start. I needed income to support Hayden, but yearned for something more. I was let go from my position at work, which was an absolute blessing, and spent three incredible months playing, loving, and raising my baby. After returning back to work due to buying a house, I knew I wanted to be at home more. Guess what I AM HALF WAY THERE! I will soon be able to work from home, as a coach, and be with my baby! I currently work part time and get to spend so much more time with Hayden. We play and laugh, learn, and LOVE!
I have supplemented some of my income with coaching, and it feels AMAZING.
I’ve cut my hours in half and kept the same pay! If you’re interested in being a mom boss, then fill out the link in my bio and I will get some info to you 💕 you seriously have nothing to lose, but everything to gain.
A quick sightsee of Perth before my time in Australia is up! New adventures are coming up and although I feel sad to leave Auz, I’m excited for what’s in store next! #australia #newadventures #wanderingflipflops
So excited for the sporadic new venture that is the Better Brown Girl Book Club that my friend Kai and I have embarked on. This one is for the ladies only, and we are jumpstarting with our first book being The Mother of Black Hollywood by @jeniferlewisforreal come November. Feel free to join us by searching the book club name on Facebook. We’ll be doing weekly discussions on various book chapters, and will have monthly giveaways starting tomorrow. Hope to see you there. #BetterBrownGirl #BetterBrownGirlBookClub #BookClub #TheMotherOfBlackHollywood #NewAdventures
We are adjusting to the chilly Idaho mornings! My personal tactic is to either 1. avoid them or 2. run fast when you are out. Ely likes the running, so it works well for both of us. My little Cali boy has had to learn to leave the coat on (he really hates layers) and he's reluctantly starting to accept long pants. 😂 😂😂
Now the important update!
His school has been such a sweet experience so far! Ely has quickly made friends with his classmates. He adores them and they adore him and that is exactly what we had hoped and prayed for. God helped me realize that when we left california, there would be no way we'd replace his old school. We were simply going to experience something new. Which allowed our california school to remain special and gives the new school the ability to be special in its own unique way also.
His teachers are so receptive and seem to be getting to know Ely and his needs quickly. Please pray for an extra set of loving hands to come on board his team as they are looking for someone.
Lastly, we had such an incredible meet n greet (if you will) with our new infusion team. Our first infusion here in Idaho will be this Thursday. Everyone is excited and preparing for it. Pray nerves are steadied and that Ely will have a good experience. So thankful for the doctor and team of nurses who have stepped up to make this all possible. Again, there is no way to replace our amazing team at CHOC. But here, we get to jump into a new experience at a new hospital and look forward to the journey God has for us here.
