So today I started my new job😁
I had to leave my last job in November due my Colitis flaring up so bad! Not earning any money since then has been so hard, especially over Christmas😫
But today I am so happy to say that my first day went better then expected! It’s not my dream job but it’s gonna bring the money in☺️ For once my tummy didn’t flare up either, after losing blood yesterday due to being nervous it actually stayed ‘normal’ for a whole day!! Yippeee😁😁

It's probably safe for me to talk about this openly now. I got a new job a couple weeks ago! Baby's first 9-5! I am now a marketing assistant at a small property management company. What's great about it, apart from the extremely cool people I work with, is that it's a new position and I am half of the marketing department. Right now I'm mostly doing graphic design & motion graphics, and I'm starting to do social media as well. The position gets to be kind of shaped around what I'm good at & I have a voice in the process.
Not having a typical full time job that's degree-adjacent has been a huge source of stress for me. Like it truly shaped every decision I made about how I used my time, making every small thing feel very life or death. It's such a weight off my shoulders to be able to use my design skills from school and my marketing skills from my blogging experience, and not be wondering if I'm going to have enough money any given month. I'm really excited about where this could go!!

I’ve been quiet recently because i’ve been really busy.
Mum & Dad’s new business opened so i’ve been working really hard learning how to be the best boy at my new job.
I’ve also had some surgery on my tongue to remove a very annoying lump but that should be ok now.

Do you always list every single job and every single skill on your resume Here's why this may not be a successful strategy.
Personally, I have experience in cosmetology, massage therapy, recruiting, event planning, non-profit fundraising, retail, waitstaff, administrative support, and marketing. Do I ever list all that in one resume Absolutely not!
It's best to focus your resume on the jobs you're applying to. Having "more" doesn't necessarily make you more qualified. It's great to be a jack-of-all trades. I can certainly attest to that. But listing lots of unrelated things can leave readers confused. That's not the emotion you want to generate!

My first 1,5 months behind in this beautiful hotel.
So much new friends, new responsibilities, new possibilities, new customers and everyday learning plenty of new stuff.
I've worked hard even to change my sleeping schedule. So yes, I have been very busy and tired but also very happy at the same time.
In the middle of everything new, I have tried to learn to stop for a second just to breathe and see something beautiful. This sunset was one moment of mine last week.

Today I took myself off to one of my favourite places #suttonpark but to a part not so familiar.
After the mornings events of a job interview and a parking ticket while in the job interview I decided I needed some back to nature time.
I found this amazing tree lined path and couldn’t resist walking through. I then started noticing hidden painted stones within the tree stumps and branches. This is not my first time finding these smile stones but today finding so many made me realise how amazing life is, I literally kept smiling and giggling to myself as I found more and more! .
I knew then that today was really a good day and it was teaching me something. .

- Monitor check-ins.
- Register all guests into the gym using proper registration procedures.
- Answer phones in a professional and courteous manner and uses proper greeting techniques and take appropriate messages.
- Maintain neat appearance and wear proper uniform attire while on duty.
- Process personal training, membership, and concession sales.
- Generate sales leads through walk-ins, telephone inquiries, and company sponsored outreach.
- Responsible for tours of facility and equipment demonstrations with prospective members.
Qualifications & requirements:
- Excellent customer service skills are required.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both staff and members is critical.
- Understanding of basic cash processing procedures is a plus.
