Have you ever felt so exhausted on a random weekend afternoon that you thought about napping Maybe you had an early day and you’ve been non-stop so there’s a reason for the exhaustion.
Or, your exhausted from being lazy! Ever happen to you That was me today! All of a sudden it was 6pm on a Sunday and it felt like 11pm, but I realized I hadn’t done anything to make me feel this tired today.
Solution you ask Get up and move my body! Exercise! It never fails that I always feel awakened after a workout. Even if it’s the most draining sweat sesh ever I always feel energized after!
If your feeling super tired, but there’s no reason for it GET UP and move!
My major was “undecided” in college for 2 years which doesn’t sound very prestigious when people are asking you what you are studying in college😂
Long story short- I decided😊ha ha I continued my education to get my masters in occupational therapy and truly felt like it was exactly what God has called me to do. What I didn’t realize is the debt that comes with continuing education. It’s expensive. Let’s just be real with each other.
The other side of that is, I get to go to a job I love everyday. I don’t say that lightly- I love what I get to do. I get to help my patients gain their independence back through meaningful occupations❤️so, when I was approached about doing a second job of health and fitness coaching I didn’t see the need to take on a second role. I mean I went to school for 19 years, ya know!
I did need to pay off school debt though. After school I owed 87,000. Which is scary to say out loud. Debt is a scary thing especially when you realize the interest coming in. YIKES! I hesitated sharing it but I know this has to resonate with others in the same boat and I’m here to tell you it doesn’t have to be that way. Coaching was that unexpected blessing that will make it possible for us to pay that off by the end of this year. In just 2 years it will be paid in full. Coaching has made it possible for us to travel in the process.Traveling to 5 different places from trips I have earned from coaching and all while working full time.
This past year we were able to take a trip to the beach for our anniversary that was paid completely by my income I earned through coaching. It takes work, it takes patience, and a love for people! The media says wrinkles aren’t pretty. Airbrush this, airbrush that! Get Botox! I’ve fallen victim to that belief. I’ve been ashamed of my wrinkles. I’ve Googled which celebrities don’t get Botox or fillers, only to find that pictures of them on red carpets are airbrushed anyway. You know why social media is so great We have the ability to rewrite what the “real” media tries to convince us of. We have the ability to make real people beautiful again!

Healthy choices don't have to be hard! In 15 minutes I put some shrimp, frozen veggies and potatoes in a pan, cooked them up and added some sauce and Voila! You have a meal! And would it be a Sunday dinner without a glass if white wine! My best advice to someone starting out! Keep it simple! •

Brought my own pop (Vanilla Coke Zero 😋) to the rink to watch Allen play hockey tonight so I’m not tempted to buy anything. An interesting (& hockey related) wrench was thrown into our budget today but we managed to work it out & are still in good shape! Also feat. some paint I spilled on my favorite joggers 🙃

but my husband only eats junk food... he doesn’t like healthy food.. one of the biggest excuses i hear.

but I don’t let his treats keep me from my goals. I’m all about treating myself with a weekly ice cream or some cookies & milk 😍
but for the most part you can see me with my veggies & some of my favorite dips like guacamole & hummus & eating an 80/20 lifestyle with my nutrition & that’s what works for me.
we decided together that he eats what he wants breakfast, lunch, & snacks & same for me but when it comes to dinner he lets me try healthy recipes & trust me he will tell you himself he loves when I cook. I can only think of one time when he didn’t care for the meal which I call a #winwinwin
I hate restriction & I refuse to ever feel restricted from foods I love but I will always focus on fueling my body with food & feeling good inside & out.

Quality family time this morning. Woke up early for my run and then met up with parents and brother for a walk at the beach with the dogs.
Got a solid 3 mile walk in and my body is feeling it.

Going into a new fitness regimen is always scary. What if it’s not the right fit What if you fail What if it’s the same cycle as last year, starting & giving up within a couple weeks or months
Well, here’s the thing - are you willing to put in the work & do whatever it takes
And I mean real, hard work & effort! But it’s probably not what you’re thinking 😏 No, you don’t have to work out for over an hour. And no, you don’t have to starve yourself and only eat kale. And yes, you can totally have your pizza and ice cream on the weekends.
The hard work I’m talking about is being present in your workout & pushing for just 20 minutes a day. That’s it! I’m also talking about being accountable for yourself and eating cleanly most days out of the the week, but knowing it’s okay to keep your life and enjoy an occasional treat without going over board.
Can you just imagine feeling confident about knowing what you’re doing is actually sustainable Not just some silly New Year fad diet! I don’t diet y’all! Can you just imagine it being a whole year later, two years later, maybe even 3 years later and you still love your routine & the way you get to eat! Hi 👋🏽 That’s what I’ve found!

I have never really been into stretching, but the beautiful weather today inspired me to take some time after my run to just relax and stretch it out. Not gonna lie, it felt pretty dang good. 2 miles in the books!
What's your prayer posture!! Although there is no specific way to pray, there are postures in prayer that express the true attitude in our hearts. •
Here are just a few prayer postures that I personally use:
▪Bowing shows reverence and gratefulness. ▪Kneeing shows personal humility and surrender to God's authority. ▪Lying prostrate before God shows unworthiness and desperation for God's help.
If you've been praying for something and God hasn't answered it yet, try changing your prayer posture. Maybe that's what he's waiting for.

Here it is!👰🏻 My wedding dress in its simplest form: no veils and my 17 foot train that I wore in the church is not shown (still trying to figure out how I’m going to fit the whole dress on IG🤣)
This dress took so much time and so many man hours to create (an entire year and 5 months to be exact!) and to look back on photos now, seeing my vision come to life, I couldn’t be happier and more in love with this dress!
The process of creating my dress wasn’t as challenging as I thought it would be but man did it cause some stress at times! Everything about this dress was customized for me by a fabulous designer in Israel that stole my heart with her designs and detail to lace. The fabulous @pninatornai I can’t thank you enough for designing my dream dress! I wasn’t sure exactly what type of dress I wanted but there were a few things I was adamant about: I wanted a fitted dress because I know that’s @nickfitz’s favorite style of dress, I wanted tons of lace, I didn’t want any jewels because I didn’t want it to look like a pageant gown but I still wanted a light sparkle, and I wanted sleeves since we were having a winter wedding!❄️ (I know it sounds like I had everything picked out in my head but trust me there were still so many decisions to make that I didn’t know with this dress!😄) The veils that we eventually designed to compliment the dress were done by the incredible @verawang @verawanggang, and the train was customized and hand stitched by the angels at @shopeahouston. It seemed like mission impossible to complete the look of this dress that I was dreaming about towards the end, but as always, @shopeahouston and my fairy god mother/instagramless angel Julie Roberts was determined to make all of my wedding dress dreams come true, which they ofcourse did.💙
I have never felt more beautiful than I did on my wedding day and I cannot thank everyone enough who was involved in making my dream dress a reality! It truly takes a village and my village is quite mighty!
🔴Fun fact🔴: I started dreaming of this dress and saving for it 6 months after Nick and I started dating. I knew early on that he was the one😉. Only 5 short years later and I finally got to wear it❤️
Y’all know I’m a salad freak and my salads are by far what you guys message me about most every week so here’s an up close and personal look at them. 🤗
My salad prep tips:
1. Use a larger style food storage container and load up on your favorite lettuce varieties. My favorite ever since the romaine outbreak is a mixture of baby spinach and arugula.
2. To keep your salads fresh all week, I like to keep a lot of my toppings separate. This week I kept diced cucumber, radish and red bell pepper in a separate container that I will add to my salad when I’m ready to eat it.
3. Experiment with fun (and healthy) toppings. My favorite is pumpkin seeds!
4. Make your own homemade salad vinaigrette vs the processed store bought dressings. It’s WAY better for you and surprisingly so easy to make!

✨ "When you find yourself caught up in the chaos of life, focus back on you breath (yourself) and you will find your center."
So many great affirmations to take into the coming week, and another great reminder as we head into week two of the New Year that the best investment you can ever make is in YOURSELF - you can't spread joy if you aren't cultivating your own.🙏🏻
