Only two workouts left of this program and I can’t believe it’s already almost finished! I’m so stinkin’ proud of myself for showing up every day, not missing a workout even while on a trip, and doing my best every single day. I’ve been so consistent this year and that is such a big shift from even just last year! Consistency + Time = Results.
And guess what’s next... well, I’m not telling you until Saturday. But it’s going to be the hardest thing I’ve ever done. And I’m so ready.🤜🏻🤛🏻
OMG. So much sweat!! Today’s workout was 45 minutes of strength based training and I’m sweating like I just did 45 minutes of cardio!!
Some people would think that sounds terrible but I feel amazing right now. I feel so accomplished and I love that I did something good for myself.
There’s two big things that you have to remind yourself of when starting this journey:
1. Be comfortable with being uncomfortable. .
2. Consistency is key. (Planning will help to keep you consistent)
If every minute of my workout was easy and didn’t push me to the brink of what my body can do, I wouldn’t see any changes and there would be no point. But just because it’s hard doesn’t mean I can’t have fun while I’m doing it.
Make a promise to yourself to do something good for you. Plan your day out. Prep your food ahead of time. The easier things are for you day to day the more likely you are to keep at it and maintain consistency. 😉
An adventure of a lifetime ⛵️
I fully intended on reading during the little one’s naptime today, but I never even opened the book. Instead I ended up journaling and holy heck my heart needed it (and could definitely use some more, but it’ll have to wait until later).
I was feeling a heaviness and sadness on my heart (still kinda do) and I chose to dive in and let myself feel everything which usually comes with tears and today it did.
It’s crazy to me how sometimes old wounds, like years and years old, can feel so fresh. And oh they did today.
I was praying in my journal and telling Jesus that I want Him to fill the gaps in my heart, some of which feel small, others which feel huge as if they’re gaping open. I was telling Him that I don’t want to be stuck in the past and that I want to heal and be free from the pain. It’s still so hard sometimes.
Healing is a journey and a really hard one at that, but goodness gracious it’s worth it. Realizing that you’re worth it is SO worth the hard work, the tears, the therapy sessions, all of it.
I was writing about being frustrated with things in life being broken or causing frustration or hurt or sadness and ultimately just being imperfect (because duh, we aren’t perfect and literally can’t be). And then I had this thought and who knows, maybe it was Jesus whispering to me (I still struggle with knowing if I audibly heard Him sometimes):
OF COURSE things in life are broken, frustrating, hurt filled, sad, imperfect... we are imperfect humans. We literally cannot be perfect. There’s always going to be brokenness and gaps that need to be bridged and filled. We are imperfect humans.
But hallelujah it doesn’t end there. Hallelujah brokenness, pain, hurt, etc don’t have the final say.
Jesus has the final say💛
And you know what
Jesus IS perfect.
He HEALS all brokenness.
He FILLS and BRIDGES those gaps.
Jesus IS more than 100% perfect.
Life comes with pain and heartbreak and sadness and frustration and everything negative you can possibly think of.
Thank goodness life also comes with Jesus who brings beauty from pain and who promises to never leave us💛
Sometimes the days can seem long and the to do list a million miles long and you feel just extra stressed and worn out.... but when we get previous moments like this we just sit still and BE♥️
This week I’m starting normal life with my HUSBAND! It’s mostly going to consist of me staying home and figuring out where all our stuff is going to go. And realizing how much stuff we have and such little space 😅
Also, i always seem to underestimate iPhone photos! There’s no way I’d take my camera out in the middle of ocean with my butterfingers 😆
I am so happy with the habits I have created over the last 6 months! I have started making time for me but also using that time intentionally! More time on devotionals and less on social media. More time exercising and less time watching Netflix! What you do with your day is a choice. Make the best one for you! Stop living life like you’ll get a second go around! Make the most of each day you get!

5 Benefits of Drinking Water:
1. Increases energy & relieves fatigue
Since your brain is mostly water, drinking it helps you think, focus, concentrate better and be more alert. As an added bonus, your energy levels are also boosted.
2. Promotes weight loss
Removes by-products of fat, reduces eating intake (by filling up your tummy if consumed prior to meals), reduces hunger (hello natural appetitive suppressant), raises your metabolism and has zero calories!
3. Flushes out toxins
Gets rid of waste through sweat and urination which reduces the risk of kidney stones and UTI's (urinary tract infection)
4. Improves skin complexion
Moisturizes your skin, keeps it fresh, soft glowing, and smooth. Gets rid of wrinkles. It's the best anti-aging treatment around!
5. Maintains regularity
Aids in digestion as water is essential to digest your food and prevents constipation. 🙌🏼💕💦💪🏼
Hi friends! 👋🏻🤗
I just want to remind you to LOVE your life.
Love your job.
Love your SELF.
Love the people you’re surrounding yourself with.
Love the money you make and the things you get to have.
So much so that even the bad days are good days💜
And if you don’t love it all
Be brave enough to change it.
It’ll be scary 100%
But living a life you don’t love is so so so much scarier.
You just don’t know that yet.
But I promise you, the change, the work, the hustle, the brave scary steps to pure happiness are worth it 🙏🏼
Love the 25 yr old Rae who was miserable for far too long and lucky enough + brave enough to make the scary changes to live the life I live today ❣️
This one makes me smile so big I can’t even keep my eyes open. 💗

If you want to be happy, just be.
That may sound like an oversimplification, but the more we worry about the approval of other people, the further away our own happiness becomes.
You are perfect just the way you are, and you have everything within yourself to find your happiness.

To the girl searching for her future husband, to the girl who’s engaged, to the girl who’s married her best friend... Seek God FIRST. •
Before you roll your eyes at the thought of a newlywed giving marital advice...hear me out. This is mostly me voicing what I’m learning. Instead of thinking about getting closer to God so we could get closer to our husbands...what if we flipped that around •
If you watch my stories you know I’ve been reading “Sacred Marriage” by Gary Thomas, a book our pastor gave us during our premartial counseling phase. It has OPENED MY EYES. •
What if we used our marriages to become more Christ-like Our spouses know us best, know how to push our buttons the hardest, and usually get to see the worst of us. But if we learn to be Christ-like through our marriage, it can transfer to the rest of the areas of our life. •
Serve your husbands when you don’t feel like it. Respect his opinions and trust that he has your best interest at heart. God calls man and wife to serve each other. Every time I find fault with Shane...I can also find fault with myself. The point is to focus on the GOOD. Jesus doesn’t keep score, so why should we •

20 lbs lost between these pictures but I also gained so much in the process! 🥰 I was unhappy with how I felt trying on dresses for our engagement photos and I would be damned if I let myself feel that way on our wedding day 🙅🏼♀️
My coach reached out to me a few weeks before the picture on the left was taken, my initial answer.. “not right now.. blah blah, maybe after vacation”... she responded and I didn’t reply. A few weeks later she messaged me again.. I then responded and *probably* to both of our surprise, I got enrolled the same night! 🙈 What made such a difference in those 2 weeks I can’t even tell you, but I have a feeling it had a lot to do with wanting to feel absolutely, positively, good in my own skin for once in my life 🤷🏼♀️
TBH I always needed reassurance.. whether it was from a friend, relative or significant other.. I could never look in the mirror and feel truly happy with who was staring back at me. It’s sad but true & I think it’s a struggle most of us go through at one point or another (or maybe not.. what do I know hahaha) 😆 but the point here is, I’m so glad I made this commitment to myself, but also glad my coach never gave up on me! 💋 Since I’m learning from the best, you can bet your ass I won’t give up on you either.. but first you have to trust meeehhh! 😳😘
