Parents start planning and dreaming for their child when he is in mothers womb, begin to forget themselves and their priorities are what a little child wishes. When you don't know to take a first step, they hold your finger. Do you ever think why your parents are struggling day and night and trying to earn more and more money You don't heard a single word that they want to buy or have that thing for themselves. They neither want to be billionaires nor they need a comfort bed to sleep at night. Selflessly, spent their ages dreaming of luxuries for children. ❤
When the time comes for them to rest, you are still hoping them to raise their grandchildren too. You don't give them freedom to live according to their choices in your houses. And the biggest abuse, at the time to give support, you leave them in the old age.
Parents expect more from sons than daughters. Son seem to be a crutch of old parents and specially mother, who loves a son more than anyone else. ✨
They are your Backbone and nourishment at your adulthood but you dare to leave them alone. For them, this punishment is not less than a death. 😐
Do they demand anything except the company and have some space in your lives Do they raise you to listen in return that I don't want to stay with you How can you be merciless and heartless to leave them in old homes
I m leaving my words here for you to think for a while and answer yourself ...

We’re considering filling this crack with gold in the tradition of Japanese kintsugi. We love character and accenting this crack in such a beautiful way (rather than just repairing it in a conventional way) might be exactly our style.
It took us waaaaaay longer than it should have, but a new faucet has been installed in the kitchen! 🙌🏻 We probably should have waited for the new counters, but I just couldn’t help myself. Scroll 👉🏻 to see what we started with. .
Also, for those who own older homes... be sure to check your pipes! During the install process we found a rusted pipe that was on the edge of breaking down. One touch and it fell apart! .
Last, for those that have been following our diy kitchen remodel... cabinets are DONE! Painting was a lot of work but saved us some serious $$!
An antique cast iron Franklin stove converted to gas.
It was 0 degrees (F) outside when I woke up this morning here at Whitten House. Such mornings always make me grateful for modern heating options.
Cast iron stoves largely replaced open fires for heating in the mid-19th century. Franklin stoves were an intermediate step in that process, bringing the fire out into the room and taking advantage of the radiant properties of cast iron, but not yet enclosing the fire with a door. Such stoves can still be used for supplemental heating, and ambiance, burning wood or converted to gas as here.
An unvented gas log unit has been installed in this cast iron Franklin stove (also called a Franklin fireplace). The homeowner carefully drilled a hole in the cast iron for the gas pipe, starting with a very small bit size and enlarging the hole by increasing the bit size in consecutive passes until he reached the required size hole.

Last night Steve asked me “how much are you loving this house decorating stuff” My answer 🥺. Lol as a self realized indecisive personality, decorating is more stressful than fun. Every. Little. Thing. Needs extreme thought and consideration. For our porch swing I had to order two cushions and sit with them for WEEKS before making a choice. And this “welcome mat” mess. Well, let’s say I’ve been to every Target, Home Depot, Kirklands and Hobby Lobby in Tampa-St. Pete trying to find the right combination for a layered mat look. Do you know how hard it is to find a welcome mat with white lettering Why is that something I even care about! Hahaha. Anyway let me get back to obsessively searching Amazon for 108” curtains. I’ve already ordered 200 different panels. Bye! (p.s. do you love the rose gold crocs)

Two years ago, we moved into our century old home that I’ve had my eye on for over 20 years! ❤️ After living in my other house for over two decades and working on organizing it, I had to evaluate, declutter, and plan for this new home! 🏡
As you take on organizing your home, remember that organizing is so much more than just one space or one room. 😯
Instead, it’s how you live as a whole so this week think about a couple of small steps that you could take to start decluttering and organizing your home! ✅
Create systems of simplicity that work for you and your family! One thing I’ve learned as I raised my 4 kids is that it won’t work if it’s not simple! 👨👩👦👦
