Here we are. Hot. Sweaty. Dirty. And totally exhausted but there’s no other way I’d have it. We often get asked if we really enjoy doing all these DIY projects and the answer to that question is absofuckinglutely. ⠀
We are working on the rad curb appeal project on our house. And cannot wait to give you a full update on how we are doing on the blog this week I promise. Right @mgutelli #clarkandaldineHOME #caacurbappeal #exteriordesign
I haven’t posted art in a while... this one I painted and gave to my 6th grade teacher who currently works with my mom.
And actually that is good advice for me to follow right now.
Right now I am in a really weird place.
I am really uncomfortable when I am awake so I want to sleep all the time. But I can’t sleep very well because I constantly wake up from pain. And I can ease some of the pain (kind of - it is really more of a distraction) by laying on some kind of heat but then I have the fever so I am freezing cold and burning up all at the same time already.
On top of it all I am emotionally spent. I am tired of pain. I am tired of doctors. I am tired of taking meds that I don’t think are actually doing anything. I just want it all to be over.
On the bright side though I have been coloring and crocheting and listening to audiobooks a lot lately and have been working on some projects that I really like. Since all these activities do not require me to get dressed or even out of bed, they are great. 😉 I recently finished “Before We Were Yours” and loved it and am currently looking for another book to listen to.
Hopefully this pain flare ends soon and this round of fevers is short 🤞

Bricks are finally finishing up today! Took 8 weeks to brick the whole house 😳 very frustrating but we have finally been given consent to start the inside! Some gib was even up today. I’m glad they had only done about a third koz now I’m going to change some walls/rooms to more tounge and groove because #nevertoomuchshiplap Still on track for end of July at this stage. Front doors still MIA though 🤬🙄🤦🏻♀️
Good morning! I added a new piece of studio pottery to my collection on Mother's Day. I haven't identified it yet. It goes well with a couple of small pieces I made in ceramics class years ago, before I had children. It's something I'm drawn back to in my mind regularly. We hope to create a Ceramics studio in our basement eventually. My husband prefers hand building, while I think I prefer throwing on the wheel. He got a slab roller a couple months ago at an estate sale. I'm hoping to come across a wheel someday at a thrift store. I'd say that's impossible, but I do have some good thrifting skills.
