I can’t put into words how much it means to be able to use my passion to help out those in need! 💙💙 This piece, ‘Current No. 1’, will be available tomorrow night (along with over 90 other original works of art) during the @studio212dallas art auction and @patgreenmusic concert, all benefitting @wdcschool. This school serves one of the most underprivileged neighborhoods in Dallas which, as a teacher, thrills my heart to be able to help in such a way. 🙏🏼🙏🏼 The art auction will be open for online bidding as well starting at 6pm tomorrow night.
Tickets and auction info for the event are available at www.wdcschool.org.
A client sent me this photo of her peony painting in its place in her foyer. How perfect does this look! Fits very well on this console table. “Peony no. 6” is a 20x20.

Heavy texture beach sunset - 3x3 acrylic and gold leaf on wood panel
Have been in a small creative rut so I took inspiration from some old watercolor shark teeth paintings. I think I found something 💙💛❤️
An honest look into my work space 🌿 it’s a mess! Spotify in one corner, tea in another, paints scattered, my palette in disarray! Once the creative flow gets going, anything in my way becomes covered in paint and scattered 👩🏻🎨 the floor is a minefield of tools and drying paintings and I don’t have any nice clothes that don’t have paint splotches. I would do anything to keep that flow, it doesn’t matter. As long as my mind finds space to let go and creativity takes over I am free 🌿
Tried abstract painting my living room wall 😂 it was fun 🎨
Set sail on the Clyde. A daily sight where I live when its not too cloudy. The white of the yachts and clouds, green of the coast and blue of the sky makes a fabulous combination. Priced and on show until April 2019 in the Seagull Gallery.
24x24 inches, acrylic on wood panel
This is the largest painting I’ve done on wood panel. How do you like the wood texture

I don’t want people to remember my art as boring. If it doesn’t make a statement I won’t paint it. I’m excited to present Marylin part 2. She was done using palette knives, no brushes. While most people are afraid to use neons, I just can’t paint without them. Her face is fading away and that’s exactly how I felt when painting her. Sometimes we have our moments where our brightest souls seem to fade away. She is the 2nd piece of my palette knife painting collection. #svpart #neons #marilynmonroe #paletteknife #paletteknifepainting #acrylics 🎨😍

Canvas, paint and a palette knife of your choice (or brush, fingers, etc)... and willingness to let go of yourself, have fun, make a mess and share yourself through your art...that’s all it takes but sometimes it can be quite intimidating, sometimes I am
still afraid it won’t come out right... but there is no right or wrong if you truly give yourself away to it...until I am pleased and happy inside looking at it... it is me on display, on canvas...
No matter what, we have to
paint or express our creativity
in one way or another ...
We just can’t help it...it’s like it wants to jump out of us...
Do you agree Yes No
Being unique can be scary because we don’t want to stand out and be made fun of, but it’s really great because no one is like you...and never will be.....
but to be amazing is mind blowing... it is our calling to be the best of who we are...
Our Creator made us so each of us can be absolutely amazing... made in His image 🌟

Since most of my work isn’t necessarily conceptual, I usually have a tiny idea on where things will go, which is probably why I struggled a bit on this piece 😂 When you’re someone who likes to plan a little more than the average person, throwing a painting together without a clear vision is more cumbersome than enjoyable. In hindsight, this painting brought me out of my shell, even just a tiny bit, and I’m realizing my more successful pieces never started with a plan. “Let it gooo, let it goooo” - Frozen
I was down with a migraine when I wanted to paint the other day. I knew I needed rest though. Feeling better, and about to start painting!
