Let’s talk about planking.
I used to HATE planking. Still to this day planking is not my favorite but I found a way to make it more bearable... I do them EVERYDAY! 🙌🏼 By doing them everyday I hate them less because they are slightly easier and my body knows that they are coming. 😏

Planks are so good for tightening up the core especially postpartum.
Here’s what I do:
I set my timer for two minutes at the end of each workout. 🕑 I get into planking position and hold it. Sometimes I can hold the plank the whole time but more often than not I have to stop the clock and take a few seconds for a break. 😪

If you hate an exercise try doing it more frequently and you might just be surprised how much can change! .

Did some deloading today, squatted 230 for 6 sets, and then deadlift 275 for another 6 sets, with heavy barbell rows and reloaded ohp. Let’s talk about planking. 
I used to HATE planking. Still to this day planking is not my favorite but I found a way to make it more bearable... I do them EVERYDAY! 🙌🏼 By doing them everyday I hate them less because they are slightly easier and my body knows that they are coming. 😏

Planks are so good for tightening up the core especially postpartum. 
Here’s what I do: 
I set my timer for two minutes at the end of each workout. 🕑 I get into planking position and hold it. Sometimes I can hold the plank the whole time but more often than not I have to stop the clock and take a few seconds for a break. 😪

If you hate an exercise try doing it more frequently and you might just be surprised how much can change! .

🧠Clasping your hands (and letting your head hang) as seen on the left, reinforces foreword head and rounded shoulders. This adds extra strain on the anterior shoulder joint, and over stretches the posterior neck/shoulder/scapula musculature. This is commonly associated with “Upper Cross Syndrome”.

👀By externally rotating the shoulders and directing the forearms forward, your shoulders are forced to hold in a neutral position. To dove tail off of this it’s important to tuck your chin as if making a double chin to engage your deep neck flexors which are important for proper posture.

🤔Why does this all matter anyways?

👌You’re getting the most out of your plank, reducing risk of injury and increasing your mate value by standing confidently with good posture!
