"'June 6, North Carolina authorities found the body of Chanel Scurlock, a black transgender woman, in Lumberton. She was shot & left to die in a field.
According to Raleigh TV, someone posted a photo of Scurlock in feminine clothing, but then deleted it. Scurlock was allegedly going to confront the person Tuesday (5 June).'"
Chanel was misgendered & deadnamed in the media/by her mother following her death. They arrested a suspect for her murder which is good news. Claiming robbery but her mother believes (& so do I) that she was targeted because she was transgender.
How do we know if someone is looking at us
Our brains are finely tuned to recognize eye direction. When someone is looking at us, the pupil, iris and the eyeball make concentric circles. That is to say, the center point of each circle is the same.
If someone isn’t looking at us, the circles change to ellipses and their centers no longer line up. I will do another post illustrating that soon.
But for now we have perfect concentric circles looking straight at us. The head can be tilted up, down or to the side. It does not matter, if all the circles line up.
If you want an eye or eyes in a painting to be looking at the viewer, then you have to paint those circles so they line up.
