👌🏼A skill we can all learn & benefit from is to face our fears with strength & courage. 👉🏼It‘s easy to say doesn't it. But when fear creeps, or leaps in, we feel it both emotionally & physically. It can hit us sideways. All our good intensions & rational thought processes feel really difficult to access.
☝🏼An important thing to remember is that we have a choice. Even if it doesn’t feel like it. We always have more than one option. Fear or courage are things that we can choose. 🙌🏻We don’t have to wait to feel strong & courageous. We don’t have to look for the evidence that it is reasonable to be strong & courageous. We can make a choice to do so. 👉🏼We can imagine a potentially fearful situation & visualise ourselves facing it. We can explore what it would look like to respond with strength & courage (rather than imagining all the things that could go wrong). Visualising this can help us to defuse any anticipation anxiety that can build, it can significantly increase the probability that when the situation comes along in real time, we will handle it much better.
👍🏻Give it a try.
👉🏼Even if reacting with fear has been a life-long habit, you CAN choose to change it.

Oh, #calmdown. It’s OK to have certain expectations. Expect things like respect, honesty, and understanding and make it an expectation of yourself to return those things. If we don’t set expectations for each other, how can we form trust or enter into healthy relationships Instead, don’t expect people to give you something they’ve communicated they are unable or unwilling to give you but don’t just assume they can’t or won’t up front. If people fail you, then work to refocus your time and energy on the people and things make you feel good instead. #rethinking #positive #daily #quotes much #love and #respect @thegoodquote ❤️ #thegrumpybutt
Mental illness looks different for different people~ 🎭 I go from one extreme to another. Either way I'm in PJ's all day or dolled up! 🤷
The first things we should look to get straight is our mindset and health. I don’t understand why there is not more education about our thoughts and attitudes. If anything it is THE most important aspect of our lives.
Health awareness is apparent, which is great! However mental health awareness is largely seen as a reactive measure for people suffering with mental health issues. If people were taught the importance of thought and how our habitual thought patterns shape our lives, they could use it to propel them to achieve great things.
Beware of your inner dialogue, we should practice a belief system of possibility.
